In reading the news today I ran across a photo of Steve Bannon wearing an unusual pin on his lapel. Does anyone know what it is?

I did a little searching on the net, and found a similar question with answer in another forum. In Secret Service activity environment, lapel pins are a significant ID piece - like a "pass of the day" for easy identification. Below are pics of the other forum open comments, and a pic of Bannon with a different lapel pin.

Case closed?? :)
Wow, I accidentally posted something interesting. :P
well bannon is a very conservative catholic so i think the white hexagon may have some connection with that.
he actually thinks the pope is too liberal and is changing the church for the worst..makes me think of the jesuits
but what do i know..
opps
just remembered that frances is a Jesuit..so that scratches that one
That lapel pin is actually a Secret Service badge, and depending on the day and the clearances assigned to the individual dictates which one you see them wearing...
makes it easier for the agents to keep them sorted out, especially when a gaggle of MSM want to crowd around and be a nuisance...

I'm not going to argue the point; my info came from a friend that is a US Marshall and former(retired) Secret Service agent that visits the forum as a guest; but that doesn't mean his assessment isn't incorrect...

No, it's not a sign of the Illuminati.
Members of Donald Trump's inside circle have been sporting a triangular lapel pin - sending the internet in a flurry of speculation over what it means.
Eagle-eyed viewers stoked rumors of secret societies, while others pointed out the pin's resemblance to the pink triangle initially used by Nazis to identify homosexuals before it was reclaimed as a symbol of gay pride.
It turns out the pin was handed out by the Secret Service to identify those who are allowed to pass through the security surrounding the president-elect, the New York Post reported.
People were quick to notice the pins, seen on Trump's former campaign managers Paul Manafort and Corey Lewandowski during the campaign trail.
The pin, which grants Trump's inner circle the mobility to pass through security as they please, appears to be working well, since it's still being worn about a year after it first appeared.
Incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer, as well as Stephen Miller, the senior White House adviser for policy, sported the pins at Trump Tower on Thursday.
ok going out on a skinny limb here
there is a bar across the pin..making me think that it is 'against' something
and seeker that really didn't help.. i still can't get a good look at what is on the pin

Otter,
I don't think it's a triregnum. It's sort of like an upside-down Eiffel Tower, which is why I think it's a torch.
This is the best image of Bannon's lapel pin I could find -
