British Tabloids Jump On Reports Of Shape-Shifting UFOs
Reminder: Most UFO sightings are eventually explained away as natural or man-made objects.

If some British tabloids are to be believed, UFOs have been lighting up the British skies these days, as if the night skies were an immense Christmas tree.
As reported in The Express, "thousands of people across the globe are seeing mysterious shape-shifting UFO."
Of course, an unidentified flying object typically turns out to be something other than an ET spacecraft once we take a closer look. In this instance, on March 12, Rob Wheatman, a resident of Gloucester, captured an odd aerial phenomenon on video, as seen below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDRX0a1yH14
"I saw it as a sparkling 'star' from the garden in Elmbridge, due south," according to GloucesterLive. "What alerted me was an orange light that came from it and traveled at speed north east. I grabbed my video and luckily it has a 40x zoom and that's when I got the images of the bizarre light you saw."
While there doesn't seem to be any outward appearance of fakery going on here, there tends to be an immediate attitude either on the part of individuals who offer alleged UFO videos or from media sources that have a tendency to stretch the idea of credulity with descriptions like "[t]his apparently intergalactic lightshow was filmed above Gloucester last night, and it's got us, and the cameraman, baffled. What it shows is anyone's guess...We're pinning our money on aliens. Definitely aliens."
Once again, let's offer this reminder: The vast majority of UFO sightings are eventually explained as natural or man-made objects.
We consulted a photo analyst who was unimpressed with the sightings.
"In this Gloucester video, I noticed first that the object was not in focus. That's why it looked like a diamond shape. This is a common appearance of out of focus objects with some cameras," according to Marc D'Antonio, chief photo and video analyst for the Mutual UFO Network.
"In that video, the cameraman stated he was looking 'due south.' I believe that, due south at some point during the night, you will see Sirius, the brightest star in the northern sky. Because a star is ever only a point source, the slightest disturbance to the air between the camera and edge of the atmosphere in the direction being imaged will cause the image to dance around. This is called atmospheric scintillation," D'Antonio told The Huffington Post.
In addition to his work as a video analyst, D'Antonio is CEO of FX Models, where he builds miniature versions of classified objects for his clients that include the U.S. Navy, Congress and the joint chiefs of staff. He knows a thing or two about things that are real, faked or simply misidentified.
HuffPost asked D'Antonio to look at another reported UK UFO video from January. This video begins with an object over Liverpool looking remarkably like the object in the first video above from Gloucester:
vid gone
This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated.
"In the second video, I noted that the object was out of focus at times. The cameraman stated that the object didn't move, yet it absolutely did, moving over time from a position to the right and above a branch to a position just off the tip of that branch," D'Antonio said.
"It had changed direction to reveal its nature ? it was an aircraft, landing lights on when it turned on final approach to a nearby airport. Landing lights can be seen up to 90 miles away and will persist for up to 4-5 minutes, then fade out as the aircraft makes its final turns. In my opinion, the first video showed an astronomical object ? likely Sirius ? and the second video showed a likely aircraft on landing approach."
Incidentally, the objects in question in these two videos are quite similar to a diamond-shaped "UFO" videotaped in 2015 over another UK town, Tynemouth. In that case, it was determined that the object was, in fact, the bright star Sirius.
If you happen to spot something in the night sky that, at first, seems out-of-this-world and tempts you to consider that you're lucky enough to witness visitors from far away, remember that you're more than likely seeing something that is truly astronomical in nature.
i did find this thread on the same subject

These are the colors I was trying to correlate to the ones seen in my video.
My suspicion was that the colors seen were from noble gasses (atmospheric ones) being excited by voltage surrounding the craft, just like a neon sign does.
Since the colors are changing, we must assume that the voltage was changing, and so different gasses react to different voltages, since none of the other variables (pressure and content) were changing during this event.
Also, these changes were occurring milliseconds apart, from frame to frame.
More on colors and gasses here -

And also Emission Nebula -
"The word "nebula" is derived from the Latin word for "clouds". Indeed, a nebula is a cosmic cloud of gas and dust floating in space.
More than one nebula are called nebulae. Nebulae are the basic building blocks of the universe. They contain the elements from which stars and solar systems are built. They are also among the most beautiful objects in the universe, glowing with rich colors and swirls of light.
Stars inside these clouds of gas cause them to glow with beautiful reds, blues, and greens. These colors are the result of different elements within the nebula.
Most nebulae are composed of about 90% hydrogen, 10% helium, and 0.1% heavy elements such as carbon, nitrogen, magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron.
These clouds of matter are also quite large. In fact, they are among the largest objects in the galaxy. Many of them are dozens or even hundreds of light-years across.
Nebulae have been divided into five major categories.
These are emission nebulae, reflection nebulae, dark nebulae, planetary nebulae, and supernova remnants. Emission and reflection nebulae tend to be fuzzy in appearance and lack any noticeable shape or structure. They are also known as diffuse nebulae.
Emission Nebula - An emission nebula is a cloud of high temperature gas. Within this type of nebula, a star energizes the atoms in the cloud with ultraviolet radiation. As these atoms fall back to lower energy states, they emit radiation.
The process is similar to that of a neon light. This causes the nebula to glow.
Emission nebulae tend to be red in color because of the abundance of hydrogen. Additional colors, such as blue and green, can be produced by the atoms of other elements, but hydrogen is almost always the most abundant.[/i]
A fine example of an emission nebula is the Orion Nebula (M42).

Each different color represents a different wavelength of light emmited by a different element. The red is hydrogen, blue is oxygen, and green is nitrogen.

Ok now that we've covered the colors, here's the shape shifting part -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=082jmVjjg1c
Any guesses as to what causes the shape shifting?
Well it is safe to assume the craft is not actually changing shape, but is instead an optical illusion created by amplified strong force gravity.
A few years ago when I was researching the colors seen in the OP, I decided to contact an expert in neon sign creation.
I finally found one of the largest companies in the world based in New York who creates any sign of any size you want for customers worldwide.
My queries were routed to one of their senior experts who has several degrees and sounded like an elderly college professor.
He was very nice and answered all my questions about which gasses produce which colors under what conditions.
I was curious about many things since there is no comprehensive standard collection of gasses and their colors available anywhere.
Turns out any gas can emit different colors based on available variables in the event, and that is probably why.
So after about 20 minutes of chatting, he suddenly said "Can I ask the reason you are so curious about gasses and their colors?"
:o
I froze for a moment since I did not have a prepared answer ready for this question.
I realized that if I hesitated and stalled while thinking up a lie, he would know it immediately.
So I decided to just blurt out the truth and held my breath, expecting him to hang up on me after hearing about Area 51.
Instead, he calmly replied "Oh I see. Well let me give you my email address in case you think of any more questions."
I did have a few more in the weeks to follow and he was always very nice and politely answered them all.
I sent him the pictures in the OP, and asked if he ever saw those colors in his work at the sign shop. He said yes those were very common in his work, often when voltage was applied to tubes full of air, before they were evacuated prior to gas insertion.
All in all it was a pleasure meeting this gentleman (except for that heart stopping question! ;D ) and for breaking my expectations of what his reaction would be to the answer.

Well it is safe to assume the craft is not actually changing shape, but is instead an optical illusion created by amplified strong force gravity.
Let me follow up on this thought.
Here is a more comprehensive look at the shape shifting in Bob Lazar's footage -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6T8Gf-p4fGU
http://www.thelivingmoon.com/forum/index.php?topic=2786.0 (http://www.thelivingmoon.com/forum/index.php?topic=2786.0)
Now to the naked eye, these craft
do not appear to be changing shape or color.
They merely seem to be twinkling or strobing as seen in this footage -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83EdIKhBbeM
Note that my footage seen above and Bob Lazar's footage appear nearly identical -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oRWx6yLvvI
Yet when we examine this footage frame by frame, we get the photos seen in the OP and the above video.
Why such drastic change in shape and color from frame to frame?
If we go with the fact that we are seeing a neon light effect due to the high voltage on the surface of the craft we know to be present, we are confronted with the fact that more than one variable in this event is rapidly changing in a pulsing manner.
One variable we see is shape, and I don't think the craft is actually changing shape but
appears to be because we are viewing it through a
distortion lens. (https://filmfork-cdn.s3.amazonaws.com/content/brazil-inline-02.jpg)
Since gravity effects both space and time, a distortion field created by amplified gravity will display these distortions in various ways.
A distortion of the shape seen frame by frame bears this out.
But the true rate of this pulse is hard to determine judging from frames in the video.
It was determined long ago that 30 pictures per second (fps) flashed on a screen is fast enough to fool the human eye into seeing smooth video so that's the rate this video was captured with. The large differences seen from frame to frame indicate we are not capturing all the action going on fast enough even at 30 pictures per second.
John Lear said in a video interview that these pulses occur every 12 milliseconds. Which sounds quite reasonable considering the video evidence and the fact that there are a 1000 milliseconds in every second which means we are missing a lot of pictures of these pulses when we are getting only 30 pictures every second.
And how would John know this?
Reminds me of my favorite quote of his he said in a more recent video interview. He said -
"There's a Mufon moron that calls me up once in a while and last time he says 'You don't still believe that Bob Lazar malarky do ya?'
and I said
Believe it??!! HELL I LIVED IT!!"
This is not something John read about or heard about, he was there.

Well any force field bubble around a craft will distort light :D Another side effect of that is....
wait for it....
NO CLEAR PHOTOS are possible :P

Except for photos taken in between pulses apparently, such as the one in my avatar.
But you make a good point which relates to all the blurry mis- shapen UFO photos taken throughout the decades.
But you can see even in the raw footage shown above how at night these craft appear to be self- luminous, and could be thought to be fireballs.
