Now this image of 'trenches' on Mars taken from orbit blows my mind! Could they be natural? Or weapons bays constructed during the great war of the worlds? Ok, just kidding, but can anyone venture to solve the mystery of how on earth.......errr...I mean Mars, did they form?
And toward the left extreme of the 'trenches' are strange geometric constructions. Ammo dump? Whodunit? Or most likely these are all natural formations. Some will say it's just pareidolia! Whatever, it is interesting! ::)

Thanks Lunica! Long time no see! 8)
And there's more to come!
Cheers!
Not sure of the scale but it resembles ruins on Earth. Or tread marks of some kind of smaller.
If larger than either of those then, still seems unnatural although there are some natural phenomena
on Earth that at first glance seem unnatural so who am I to say. Any geologists here?

Photo was taken from orbit so I doubt it is tire or track marks...

It took me some time to find the location on the original photo, but at 50 cm per pixel, it's some 40 metres long.

Edited to add that, as we have two photos of that area, we can get a stereo photo, for those that can see them.

No, this is the full image, although reduced.
The "trenches" are on the area marked with an yellow rectangle, near the bottom of the image and close to the right edge:

Here's (http://www.uahirise.org/ESP_014417_1975) the photo's page.
Hey Z, the "full image ' in your post is actually only a very small area of the full image photo. Your image with the 2 adjoining craters is located at about 20% down from the top of the full image photo, as seen in the below link!
I tried to find these trenches (or "WALLS" as I see them in Mikesingh's posted photo) yesterday in the actual image, and thus far I have not found them!! :)

Hi guys! Check it out with the IAS Viewer. Or you may not be able to see this structure. :)

Thanks Mike - but now that ArMaP has shown us where they are in the photo, I see them ok with just the std photo magnification. :)
ArMaP, where did you get this B/W image strip from? Link please! ::)

There's no link because I created that image, using photo ESP_014417_1975 and its stereo pair ESP_014140_1975. There's an anaglyph on photo page. :)
Oh, OK! :)
Glad to see you back here Mike....
They kinda look like old bunker entrances like this one in Russia

Or these at S$ near Area 51 :D

There is nothing new under the sun as the old saying goes. We have had underground facilities even back to the so called "caveman days"...underground bases...underground storage and on and on. Sure wish we could have a closer look. Maybe a low flying drone in the thin Martian atmosphere or a setup that just floats over the surface. Maybe Bigelow Aerospace could come up with such a craft with cameras on board.
Or just maybe those in charge do not want us to really see what is or has been going on at the Mars station? Man, I could let my imagination just run with some of the ideas. All the pictures shown here on Pegasus contributors sure make the mind think about what might be.

Or like the trenches on the right side in the image below where 21 Germans were killed when a huge Allied shell exploded above the tunnel in eastern France in 1918, causing it to cave in. So was it some sort of a tunnel that caved in? Striking resemblance!

The Squarish/Rectangular Crater close to it looks interesting to Need a closer look at that Just haven't had time to keep up here :P
I will create a page on this anomaly tomorrow and add to the website
