Putin has a 10th degree black belt in karate. Do you know hard it is to get even the first degree; I know I only got one belt before I gave up. You have to have a particular philosophy and a very very strong mind.

One military expert called Putin, "the best thing to happen to Russia in a hundred years". That's relative to Russia, not US hegemony. He isn't "nice" and Russia isn't "nice" but I firmly believe that the US could do business with Russia and do some real good in the world, if psychopathic NeoCons didn't interfere.
Many conservatives secretly admire Putin - and for good reason. He represents unapologetic support for patriotism, marriage and raising families, old fashioned religion and that sort of culture.
Trump is a symptom of deep attitude trouble in the US. Attention -deficit thinking, superficiality, and lack of self sacrifice. I really hoped he could negotiate peace and spend the resources to fix America but it's obvious that isn't going to happen.
The sheer fanaticism (and I hardly know what other word to use!) of the warmongers is terrifying. Never any sense of being wrong or vandalizing entire nations or losing wars. No shame manifested by ordering good soldiers into this futility while being a 'chickenhawk" themselves. And then 'doubling down'.....
Agree. There was No real choice between Clinton and Trump; I suppose that was the first clue.
