Down here there are places you can go to get that stuff done if your on a pension and it might cost you only $5.00 bucks.

The dental work at Eastman is of the highest quality on earth. That said, you may have to do a lot of visits 'cause it's a teaching clinic.
Imagine going in for a complex procedure and having the work critiqued by professors and skilled students who monitor every step. Can be a big relief from getting just one guy's (expensive) opinion.
Another Thought to consider Biggsy is that it's WAY cheaper to get Dental Done in Asia.
A few years back I had Four Front Top Teeth worked on which kinda replaced them with Crowns and Post's for 1600 AUD in Taiwan by Dentist's who were trained in Japan. This also included a Wisdom Tooth Extraction (Farrrr out that sucked for few days) and other fillings.
I did get mate's rate's with this, but in saying so I also saw the price's and had the decision to decided to what material my crown's were to be made of. I would only be about 500 AUD out of pocket to get the top Material for my Crown's for retail price.
Food for Thought!
A trip to Asia and Dental ;)
You want cheap, there is always the DIY option :P

Soma, if this person is a US citizen on disability as biggsy stated, I doubt if they can afford to travel anywhere...

He has already done that on another infected wisdom tooth a few weeks ago. I told him your supposed to get the infection treated first before doing that, but I suppose he thought that was his only option.
His a tad different to the rest of us. I'll keep it on the download. ;) but I was darn amazed he didn't get septicaemia over that one.
He should use asprin or other drugs that reduce inflammation and swelling if the pain is internal - and therefore a production of pressure on a nerve - also ice or cold water for the same reason. From my direct experience.
Thanks honey; I have sent him a link to this thread so he can read it all himself. ;)
Many people go across the Texas-Mexico border........... to Mexico border towns for their dental work, just because it is so much cheaper. One can probably find much about this online, and Mexican dentists some might recommend.
That's great, thank you for that. xo ;)
