I think this thread belongs in the political forum.
I think recognizing transgendered and intersexed as realities is important for those people. I had a cousin who was trans. I think it was difficult for him being raised in a very Catholic family. Another cousin was gay. Some family members thought he should have been ostracized, and was better off dead. I disagree. I don't think anyone should endure disrespect for the way they were born.
