David has a book out and I listened to an earlier interview and it was quite intriguing.
If you missed this interview, you will want to hear this in a day or two from youtube. This was the most frightening 4 hours of people gone missing you will ever hear.
After listening to this, you may never want to visit a park again. But in all actuality, this can happen anywhere, and it does.
I log on to the internet and this story is on the opening page>
Divers search Ark. Scout camp river for 4-year-old
March 26, 2012 — HARDY, Ark. (AP) — Police and volunteers are searching in and along a northeastern Arkansas river for a 4-year-old boy who went missing from a Boy Scout camp over the weekend.
Fulton County Sheriff Buck Foley says more than 150 people are searching for Caleb Linn, who disappeared Saturday morning at the Kia Kima Boy Scout Camp near Hardy. Authorities say Caleb was last seen leaving the cleanup site to try catching up to several boys who had left for the campsite about half a mile away.
Police initially said Caleb is 3 years old but the sheriff's office says he is 4. Authorities say the group was not affiliated with the Boy Scouts. Caleb is from Springdale, which is 150 miles west of Hardy.
My heartfelt compassion to the parents of the little boy. Having said that. I don't know who was looking after him.... but letting a four year old out of your sight for one moment in a wilderness setting is just courting disaster. Nature is not cruel... it is impartial.... the horrific possibilities have to be considered that he ran into a predator.... probably animal but possibly human. Allowing a littleone like that to " run to catch up" with a group far ahead of him was just a terrible mistake.
I hope that it ends well but I fear that it will not.
Linda
I listened, Gigas. WAYYYY past My bedtime, and did doze off in the last hour. Hope I didn't miss much. Truly weird the way People are disappearing - and far weirder, the reaction of the Park Service dudes. Is tourism THAT important that They hide a danger?
Ah. Money rears its ugly head again.
I hope this is not another case with Caleb, but so far, the MO is in the "ballpark." May He be lucky like - what was Her name? The One that had the "dog-man" interrupted and was recovered alive?
And maybe that boy would still be safe if the adults knew the true score...
I log onto the internet at noon and what a ya know, a kid has gone missing while out with the boyscouts. Searchers are looking in the river. Thats one of clues searchers have gleemed from these other lost kid cases.
I contacted David Paulides and he responded this missing kid was right in with those others he writes about in his book.
Searchers scour Ark. Scout camp for missing boy, 4
March 26, 2012 — HARDY, Ark. (AP) — Searchers held out hope Monday that they would find a 4-year-old boy who went missing at a northeastern Arkansas Boy Scouts camp over the weekend, shouting his name, Caleb, as they walked through the woods along the riverbank where he was last seen.
More than 150 people turned out Monday to search the Kia Kima Boy Scout Camp for Caleb Linn, who was last seen Saturday at the end of a bridge where he and several other children were clearing storm debris, Fulton County Sheriff Buck Foley said.
The children, who are related and who are not affiliated with the Boy Scouts, were staying in cabins with Caleb's aunt, Rhonda Wright, who was watching the grounds while its caretaker was away, said Foley.
According to the sheriff, Wright said five of the nine children who were staying there decided to head back to the main campsite around lunchtime. Foley said the kids were about 300 yards away when Caleb said he wanted to join them. Caleb's aunt told him to follow the dirt road to the cabins, and then turned around to continue clearing debris, Foley said.
Investigators don't suspect foul play. There are other paths that lead from the dirt road that don't go to the cabins, and Caleb could have taken one of those and gotten lost. "I think he just wandered off," Foley said. He also could have fallen in the nearby Spring River tributary, which was saturated with rain from storms that swept the region.
"The way the water's running, you wouldn't hear a splash," Foley said. Authorities are proceeding as if Caleb is alive, and the dry weather and moderate temperatures since Saturday gave hope to searchers, who could be heard in the woods calling out "Caleb!" then waiting for a reply.
Searchers in boats were checking the Spring River tributary that passes beneath the bridge where Caleb was last seen. Others took to horses, mules and four-wheelers to navigate the dirt road and trails. The tributary had receded by Monday, so divers could get in the water to clear debris from beneath the bridge and look at images from an underwater camera.
Authorities set a net downstream that could catch a body if the boy did fall into the river. But it's possible the body could have passed that point before the net was put up, said Major Todd Smith, the assistant chief of enforcement for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
"It's like looking for a needle in the haystack," Smith said. "There's no way to search the whole river." Caleb's mother and stepfather, who live 150 miles west of Hardy in Springdale, were at the camp Monday. A couple at a cabin with a stroller and overturned tricycle out front said they were Caleb's parents but that they didn't want to talk.
"We don't want to do any kind of interviews," the man said.
Here's David Paulides C2C interview. Very chilling to listen to. I was frightened as I listened to this. I know what its about in cases as these. It can take you in an instant and its not human.

Missing Arkansas boy's shirts found along river
March 27, 2012 — HARDY, Ark. (AP) — Authorities say searchers found the two shirts a 4-year-old Arkansas boy was wearing downstream from the Boy Scout camp bridge where he was last seen over the weekend.
Fulton County Sheriff Buck Foley said Tuesday that he still considers the search for Caleb Linn a "search and rescue" mission. But he says the ground search has been abandoned and that searchers will focus their efforts on the South Fork of the Spring River.
Foley says two cadaver-sniffing dogs alerted searchers to the same spot not far from the bridge where Caleb was last seen Saturday, and that the shirts were found near one another. Family members told Foley the shirts belonged to Caleb, who was visiting his aunt while she was looking after the camp.
It appears this case is paralleling the vanishing people cases. Clothes found off the victim. The victim near a stream or water. I wonder what they will tell us on this
Missing child found, deceased, half mile down river. No further information.
I wonder if His pants were unzipped... So sorry for the parents.
They did let us know both his shirts were taken off and found. I would like to know about whether his shoes were on besides the pants unzipped.

I bet He was barefoot with pants unzipped. 20 to one.
Quote. It can take you in an instant and it's not human
Gigas I can't watch the tube or listen to the c2c show at the moment, I'm only on my phone! What do you know of these disappearances?
What is "not human"? Care to tell me more? There are an awful lot of people vanishing around the world, the figures are shocking. What's going on?
