What an astounding time we live in ! Putin can openly say (in so many words) that the US has done crazy and the reply of American leaders will be "that's just another Russian plot!" - and then go back to wrecking the country.
I'm quite surprised at the resilience of US alliances in that other nations haven't bolted out the gate already in horror. One day, South Korea and the EU get upbraided for not enough defense spending and the next, they get attacked as trade adversaries.
Future historians could write a TV series one day called "WTF ! : The End Of Pax Americana". If Aliens are behind this shift in world governance, they're doing an amazing job. No one is "catching on".

The shift away from the US Empire doesn't happen simply because Russia and China are less corrupt or somehow 'nicer'. It will happen because the US is utterly blind to its own mistakes and their long term effects, as well as being cursed with a sort of "ADHD" mentality..........yeah, we need to do something about Russia - OH LOOK, A SQUIRREL!
The US is working overtime to derail peace efforts thruout the world because they know that without the threat of war, American influence will evaporate.
Russia has huge fresh water resources for parched 'stan nations and recently emerged as a huge grain exporter. The gutless EU sacrifices to maintain sanctions as per US orders and it's disgusting. I used to think the US was evolving into a sort of "Homer Simpson" leadership but I now amend that to say it's more like "Peter Griffin" on Family Guy as more sociopathic.
And I, of course, will say it's all part of the play.
