What era's would you travel back to and what figure(s) in history would you want to observe ? :D
For this thought experiment you cant be seen and you cannot interfere with the history you are observing. :o
For me it would be the Roman Invasion of Britain and Boadicea
The building of the Pyramids and Tutankhamun reign
The War of Independence and the US side of the story
China and the Ming Dynasty
World War 2 and the rise to power of Hitler
Los Alamos and the A bomb development
NASA and the moon missions
Cheers!

Atlantis
Antarctica when it was tropical
To a time when otherworlders were fighting for the survival of humans
So many things to see, so little time... Or maybe not, if we could return to the time we went to the past we wouldn't spend any time doing it. :)
I think I would start with some fact checking, like how they built the pyramids and what really happened at Roswell.
Bob Lazars and John Lears days when they observed the Saucers at Area 51..
Or what A51 witnessed some time later..
Otherwise maybe too many other options and How much time would you have to attend to really see any change..
as each erras could have taken years to develop
I would have to observe like we see in the Time Machine Film..
where as he travels thru time we see a moving picture thru various date time lines..
BUt even then where does one want to be at these times..
as so much can be happening of interest all close to or at the same time or in varying areas..
I would need to see views from varying places and times if say trying to observe and take in all the varitaion in the creation of say the Roman empire or the developement of the Pyramids as an eg..which is over a much longer period..
Where as other things may be smaller or even one or a few day events.. again things may occur at varying places even on smaller time scales and areas..
