Interesting but not conclusive, I think.
I think it's conclusive that it's a natural formation, when we look at the most recent, higher resolution photo.

It's funny that they talk about the shape of the pyramid as if they had only looked at the older photos and ignored the most recent, as we can see that the north facing side does not have the same shape as the other faces. We can also see that the layers are not really all equal, and do not show on the whole west face, only in part.
Tetrahedral Structures occur naturally as a result of crystal growth of geology. On Earth they have been eroded by water. On other planets like Mars, which underwent catastrophic planet wide destruction (so that the Northern Hemisphere is 6km lower than the rest of the planet) which was most probably due to Plasma Erosion from a Super Body in close proximity.
Plasma processes produce Platonic Structures and the Tetrahedron is the base one.
i.e. Tetrahedron, Cube, Pentagonal,............
Why the surprise, when finding these natural processes?
I think the surprise comes from finding that a rather enormous mountain-like structure has managed to pattern itself as a crystal.

Have you seen the Antarctic Pyramids?
Do you believe they are man-made or natural crystalline structures?
Nature is amazing in that it creates accumulations of matter based on simple laws: Fibonacci Sequence, Doubling, Least Mean Squares etc.
I find the Mars structures a fascinating anomaly, but don't see them as artificial.
