Title: The View From Bellcomm
Post by: Canine on May 22, 2018, 05:54:20 PM
I was going to do a more thorough thread on this but I figured since this is more of an exercise in perception, we'll focus on the visuals and I'll save the ancillary info for another post.

See we know that there were 3d models of the apollo landing sites, but these only survived as printed sheets of paper and we know very little about what went into producing them - it's bellcom, dont count on the truth.

They probably used norad computers or something more advanced in order to create their models which were then used for the apollo missions. But that is not the point of this exercise, which is to attempt to visualize what the men who produced the models might have seen at the time. This is as close as we can get to it... for now.

Make no mistake: If Apollo was hoaxed, it was by using 3d models such as this to arrange the scenery

-Thanks to lunacognita for telling about the existence of these models.

First i ever saw of these models... very interesting...  explains the 'smooth hills' we see in Apollo videos when Lunar Orbiter showed us sharp and jagged crags

What ever happened to Luna Cognita? He just went POOF  and several of his videos are blocked now because of music copyright issues

Another thing about these models, they could have been used to get the stellar positions right but at the time they didn't have the accurate brightness measurements of the stars (and measurements of other properties), not well enough to hoax that aspect.

here is the paper version of the model

and the source:

a word to remember when dealing with bellcomm is they did 'information laundering'. NASA would say what they needed or bellcomm would tell NASA what NASA needed and the agent would go into the black box mystery room and come out with whatever nasa was slated to take credit for.

As for Luna, not sure what happened to Cary. it is a mystery to me at the moment.

You dont find a man that smart if he doesn't want to be found. I hope he is alive and well. He got closer to the truth than most of us i hope it didnt burn him.

Apparently, those models were made from topographical data with points on 10 by 10 metres grid, no need for a computer to make a fake.

Aramp, if there wasn't a plausible and open-source explanation i wouldn't have posted it.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean, could you rephrase it? Thanks in advance.

I'm interested in this from the Cad aspect. Any idea what year these were created? If in the 60's only a few aero space companies had this ability. And not all had a 3D capability.

Thanks but that indicates the year the report was made, right? Not when the models were supposedly made.

True, but that's the only date I could see. :)
