Best site to watch hurricanes is VENTUSKY  Very accurate

You can see the entire western USA has almost zero wind. Save a few gusts that pop up unexpectedly, it been wind dead for months...  and high temps and humidity (relatively) all summer...  just dead air  with smoke from California fires

The hurricane will miss Hawaii   here is the map - wind speeds set for 500 M above ground. It's no where near a CAT 5

Hmmm, this morning at 7 am Georgia time Lane had been downgraded to a tropical storm with 70 mph winds...
