This is for suborbital VTOL tests. Orbital version is taller, has thicker skins (won't wrinkle) & a smoothly curving nose section.

I am trying to find that "rocket" in Telsa's inventory Seeker.. not having much luck... is it a demonstrator / concept vehicle ? also the area that the picture is taken.. it looks very .. errmm.. non-scientific m8 :-\

as far as the area and all, it does look like either Florida, where Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral is ( nice palm tree in the first) or maybe southern California around Vandenberg...

It's a test vehicle that was supposed/will be used to make short "hops", short vertical flights, to test the VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) system.
It's on their Boca Chica, Texas, location.
Gee and I though we got over Toy Rockets in the 50's :P
