One of my sons works for a Disaster Relief/Oil Spill Company...He left for Florida this morning. He'l be working logistics...

I'm just hoping that once it hits land it will turn north and down grade and not skip into the gulf.

The last pic is really misleading...it has Dorian hitting on Monday as a Cat 4, but Tuesday it's on land and still a Cat 4?...I don't think so....(it might be a 1 by that time)...

Typically, hurricanes diminish greatly once the eye moves onshore and the heat engine inherent in the warm water is separated from it...

I agree Sarge, that graphic is very misleading...

Well , its a Cat 4 now( Fri.9:30 pm EDT) and it still hasn't got to the Bahamas, This thing's a monster . The models now say that it could skirt along the east coast of Florida, good for me , might not even landfall all the way which would keep the worst part of the hurricane away from shore. 8)

From my experience with Katrina which was a Cat 5 while approaching, by the time it made landfall it was a Cat 2 and greatly reduced after that. The problem was all that Cat 5 water that was built up and pushed inland.

Katrina was a hurricane for a long time before it got to landfall .It formed way out in the atlantic and strengthened shortly to a 5 in the middle gulf of mexico. But when the edge started getting on land it weakened to a Cat 2 .  This thing has only been a hurricane for 2 days and it's a CAT 4. But is does have a ways to travel before it gets to Florida.I think once it gets part of itself over land its gonna weaken quickly .Most of the models have it staying on the east coast.  8)

Well, its a CAT 5 this morning. This thing is no joke. Man what a monster, the eye wall is landfalling on the Bahamas as I type. 180mph winds around the eye wall, wow!!. There is gonna be nothing left on the islands but junk and debris. The outer rain bands will be touching Florida in a couple hours.

They won't reach Tampa bay area where I am until tonight I think. Gonna be an interesting day tomorrow. Lots of clouds racing by overhead.

Man , the surf is gonna be up on the east coast beaches. You watch , some guy will be out there. It will be a clip on the news .

P.S..this thing is moving so slow, no rain bands touching Florida yet as of 1:43pm Sun.

Just saw a live shot from Vero beach FL. on the weather channel, the surf is already churning, big waves !!

Anyone any idea/s as to what makes it spin?
Looks just like a galaxy, what makes them spin?

Dylan was wrong...the answers are not blowin in the wind, as the wind ain't blowin.

Why do weather systems spiral inward or outward?

The Corioles effect. Wind from high pressure moving to low pressure.

It isn't looking good for the Bahamas; Dorian is stationary, sustained winds of 140mph non stop now for the last 24 hours, and it is not moving anywhere yet; there are 5 reported deaths from Abaco Island and an undetermined number missing...

Sgt Rocknroll,

That's what is indoctrinated based on assumption, IMHO.

Consider another cause for the spin of weather systems, and it involves far larger scale than this planet.
It is of universe, and is that which chases itself enabling creation and dissolvement .

The actual hurricane is a mere consequence, and what needs focus upon is displacement of atmosphere relative to the implosion and outrush of consciousness ( aether).

Instead of assuming that this planet is spinning, try to consider that the planet itself is reacting to the flows I am talking of , those flows create polarity and equator with opposite spin Northern and Southern hemispheres.
And the planet is created by these and within these flows, as are You and all other life forms on the surface area of this planet, and all are within their own unique dual spin sphere of consciousness (whilst alive)

The weather systems, volcanoes and earthquakes are local consequences in the variations of these flows , as is heat and cold.
I consider by comprehending how universe actually operates instead of just assuming things due to our limited knowledge that We could negate these weather systems and volcanoes and earthquakes by utilising the very self same system but locally alter the rates of the implosion and outrush where they go into such distructive states.

Some of My heroes have realised this in the past and been ignored or ridiculed.
Viktor Schauberger with spin relative to water.
Wilhelm Reich with His cloudbusters.

High pressure air masses rotate clockwise and Low pressure air masses rotate counterclockwise... the Coriolis effect is also part of the equation as Sarge said.

With respect,

I am suggesting that the non material is causing the consequences at present assumed to be due to material.

The present assumption is that the Earth is spinning, instead try to comprehend how it is displacing in location relative to the field of aether ( consciousness) it is within, and as that field locally overloads it leads to displacement of the atmosphere.
The aether field about anything has layerings of opposite spin , and this can be seen in the layers of clouds.

So called gravity is the net consequence of this duality of implosion over outrush, and as these overload locally either volcanic transmutations occur or earthquakes occur.
The volcano been a local event , not some assumed molten mass escaping, and earthquakes actually been local time slips that our limited senses see as movement.

That which I am trying to convey is how anything (ufo) in universe will displace in location, it is not based in the materialistic false thinking We presently accept.

The hurricane whilst over water where it faces less resistance than when it encounters land mass shows the perfect spin state.
