This is the unofficial LunaCognita's backup channel. That means I'm not Cary Martynuik/LunaCognita. I just happened to download 33 out of 37 of his videos using Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate in 2018 and want to share it because his official YouTube channel was terminated. However, I was missing 4 for some odd reason from my initial. I don't know why. Fortunately I tracked down the other 4 videos uploaded by other people and downloaded them, so I have all of LunaCognita's 37 main publicly listed videos.

However there are more videos of LunaCognita. I don't know if these videos were originally uploaded on other channels or not, or on other sites or forums. For some reason, these extra videos were not found on his channel's video section while he was still active, maybe because he didn't upload them to his channel, or he took them down, or whatever. Channels called, "SpaceTimeForum" and, "eeasynow" has many of LunaCognita's extra videos.

LunaCognita has told me that he doesn't know how his Youtube channel got deleted and he was pleased that someone took the time to find some and upload them. He hasn't got a good answer as to why his channel was taken down.

He is now working with Darcy Weir as well as Tyler Glock on some things, so stay tuned.

My channel got terminated by none other than Darcy Weir! On Sept 7, 2021 he copyright struck 6 Cary Martynuik's videos on my channel that put me in level 2. I messaged Darcy Weir about this, but he did not respond. I waited for his response until it was too late, and on Oct 7, 2021, he struck more videos and terminated the channel. Oof, this does not look good for Darcy Weir...
In the end, I really don't care. Most of his videos are still online as we speak. In DailyMotion you can find most of his videos. You can still find all of his videos on the internet uploaded by different people.

Listen to Cary Martynuik himself! He was glad I downloaded his videos! He was glad I re-uploaded his videos! His videos were never monetized because Cary Martynuik was never in this for the money! Darcy Weir, however, is in this for the money, and somehow he thinks he owns the rights to Cary Martynuik's videos... all 37 of his videos... Ouch.

"he (Darcy Weir) fully had my permission in writing and verbally to take control of the channel and to use it for the same reason I was using it for which was keeping the world informed about the UFO phenomenon the Darcy's been doing a lot of great work and on as well. He and I have an agreement together where he can use all my videos and my channel there for promotional reasons for all the great work he's doing."

Ah I see, "promotional reasons". That's where the miscommunication began. Darcy Weir was in this for the money all along. Kinda weird to me Cary Martynuik himself didn't go on a copyright striking tirade against ellamcoy or MrMohammedMisri, or any one else during his active time on YouTube... There are even re-uploads from 2019, 2020, and 2021 that hasn't been struck down yet by Darcy. Fairly easy to find, and it took me seconds to find these re-uploads.

First, thanks for creating the LunaCognita Video Backup.

As I already explained here on the forum...

Earlier this year LunaCognita's official channel was deactivated from youtube.

I was very angry, because Cary Martynuik was already missing since 2012... a lot of people thought that something bad happened to him... and LunaCongita's videos were our hope that the truth that Cary wanted to show the world would continue with LunaCongita videos on the internet.

what I could do was create a youtube channel with the 4 most watched videos of LunaCognita, which I had saved on my computer.

and made this channel.

I was posting these videos on the internet, during the first semester of this year, so that they could continue online and more people could download the videos.

in the second semester I was very happy to know that Cary Martynuik was alive and well.

some interviews appeared on the internet with Cary and Darcy.

I got calmer. because I saw that LunaCongita's work would continue.

Then some LunaCognita videos that I posted on youtube and the movie Moon Rising by José Escamilla that Cary also appears in started disappearing from youtube.

and the reason was Darcy Weir's copyright.

I was very angry.

But I saw that Darcy was working with Cary.

So Cary somehow authorized it.

Darcy is involved in this because of the money... I think so.

But not only that.

I saw Darcy's website and there are many works on Ufology.

Darcy has been researching and working on this issue for some years now.

and some Documentary shows that he is even taking a risk in divulging this truth.

so I think Darcy is not in it just for the money.

it looks like he's a very serious researcher and producer of ufology videos.

So what I think is happening now...

Cary is working with Darcy... they are going to do great work on Ufology for the world to know this truth.

The information from LunaCongita videos will be present in these new documentaries.

and they're going to make money because they deserve it too.

If YouTube took down the channel on copyright claims then it's because the ones complaining presented proof of ownership of those rights.

In a copyright infringement I was accused of the complainers wanted to have adverts running alongside the video they stated was theirs, and the adverts money, although showing on my channel, would be for them. They stated the video was taken from a DVD produced by them, but I had taken that video from a NASA web page and presented the Internet Archive copy of it as proof (the original didn't exist any more).

So, what did YouTube say about it? Was there a chance to present proof of innocence?

After the Facebook incident, it's clear to me Darcy Weir issued the copyright strikes. Before that I didn't know for certain.

So it's clear that Darcy Weir wanted to fight me in YouTube court all along. I present my proof, he presents his proof, and let's see who wins.

But, Darcy, I just wanted to talk to you like a bro, not fight you like a foe.

So I haven't issued a counter-notice. Instead I chose the other option, to contact him like a bro. Someone may have impersonated him, so I wanted to know what was going on, and it seems like I do now. Darcy Weir from Occultjourneys actually did copyright strike me.

And according to SgtRocknRoll, Cary and Darcy had an "agreement" and he gave Darcy "permission". Knowing Darcy Weir's background and SgtRocknRoll's statement, I give the benefit of the doubt that Darcy Weir probably does have some sort of proof of ownership. I personally never met Darcy or Cary, but they both personally know each other, giving me the disadvantage.

If I file a counter-notice and win, Darcy Weir would lose, but I risk exposing my identity attached to the channel. If I file a counter-notice and lose, then Darcy wins and I risk exposing my identity attached to the channel. Anonymity is what I want, and filing a counter-notice exposes my identity to YouTube and Darcy Weir, and possibly even more people outside the system. I really don't want my real name attached to this whole incident... Guess that's my problem.

But in the end, I don't really care. Should I really file a free-form counter-notice and risk exposing my identity and losing? Or should I document the incident here for the whole world to see and judge for themselves, keeping my anonymity? I'll leave it up to the people on how they feel about Darcy Weir... especially those who know him personally or work with him...

Besides, I really don't have good evidence on my part. When I said, "Cary greenlighted me" I was referring to SgtRocknRoll's statement, "he was pleased that someone took the time to find some and upload them". I never got a message directly from Cary saying I was good to go... yet.

You know what? I think I'm going to remove the videos from the mega upload site, just to be on Darcy Weir's good side... but obviously Darcy Weir doesn't want to be on my good side... Even if I do that, you can still find all of Cary's re-uploads as of 10/16/2021.

Cary, if you're reading this, I think you made a mistake when you made that deal with Darcy Weir. You gave Darcy Weir the rights to your YouTube channel and videos... because he is copyright striking re-uploads under his name, not yours. And if SgtRocknRoll's statement is true, you never wanted this to happen... but it's happening... and since Darcy Weir has the contracts or rights or proof of ownership, Darcy Weir can do whatever he wants now...

Darcy Weir, it's time for an explanation! If you listen to secureteam10's interview with Darcy Weir and Cary Martynuik, Darcy played dumb as if he didn't know what happened to Cary's channel! I don't know about you guys, but I had a funny suspicion this was the case after I read Lucas's post.

The copyright complaint I got in YouTube was from a company that produces UFO, etc. documentaries (or so they said, I never saw their name before that), and tried to impress/scare me by showing their CEOs and the like came from big companies like Sony.

The question is that LunaCognita's work is based on copyright free videos, but he is the owner of his video's rights, so anyone using his videos needs his authorisation, unless he made them free to use for anyone.

If they are going to use the videos they need to add something to have their own rights over them, if LunaCognita allows it, otherwise they will be only showing LunaCognita's work, and that's not enough to get new rights over the material.

At least that's my interpretation of how things work regarding copyright, I may be wrong, as I'm not a lawyer and much less a lawyer that knows US laws.

You should listen to the interview. That's not how it was played. Cary was confused. Why? Because Darcy Weir never told him he struck his channel. Accidental? I think not. Darcy, you had several months to inform Cary, but you chose not to... especially during the interview. Darcy never told Tyler Glockner either.

Cary was glad I re-uploaded his videos... but then Darcy Weir has rights somehow and copyright strikes re-uploads, as if he owns the videos. Hmm. I wonder what this "agreement" was about? Co-owners so that both Cary and Darcy have rights? Or... and hopefully not... Cary mistakenly gave all of his rights of his channel and videos to Darcy Weir, so that Darcy Weir owns LunaCognita's videos, not Cary.

I think LunaCongita's videos should be "Intangible Heritage of Humanity"

Of course, Cary deserves all the credit.

I think the videos could be free on the internet.

Cary and Darcy are creative...they will be able to create new documentaries using this information.

Darcy Weir could have just logged into LunaCognita's account and deactivated it, then signup on copyrightslap. Instead, Darcy Weir had to think about it, plan it, sign up to copyrightslap dot com, process it, and implement it knowing full well it would copyright strike LunaCognita's channel and terminate it with those strikes.

What kinda of "agreement" do you two have? Cary and Darcy? An agreement where Darcy Weir copyright strikes your channel Cary to termination without telling you about it? I have a hunch, but I'm not going to say it. Maybe I should wait.

I was very happy to hear that Cary is back.

I really enjoyed knowing that LunaCognita videos were saved and made available on the internet.

and now Cary and Darcy are working on new Documentaries.

Well guys, I was right. My suspicion was correct.

Darcy Weir dodged my questions too. I told him specifically this:
"How come Cary Martynuik was never informed you terminated his channel with copyright strikes?"
Darcy Weir never answered this question in our email correspondence. He never talked about the copyright strikes he issued against LunaCognita either!

I point blank showed evidence right in Darcy Weir's face and he completely ignored it. He acted as if those evidence, the evidence showing Darcy Weir copyright claiming the videos, never existed. It never happened... but obviously it did happened. It's undeniable proof that Darcy Weir copyright struck LunaCognita to utter termination!

Darcy Weir got irritated by the evidence I showed him. I was very patient with him, but I bluntly wanted answers. Darcy Weir then name called me and started throwing a fit because I exposed him, so I had to call him out on that. Darcy Weir then tagged Cary to respond to this, but it never happened. Cary never replied back, so the correspondence ended I suppose.

You see what's going on folks? I told Darcy Weir about the copyright strikes against Cary, and he dodged it. What does this mean? It was not accidental and it was not an impersonator. It was Darcy Weir all along who deliberately with his own will terminated Cary's channel with copyright strikes, all planned out. Then he lied to the whole world that he never knew anything about it on the interview.

Then today this morning... I get a reply back from Copyrightslap, the site Darcy Weir used to copyright strike my channel. First, I asked Copyrightslap if the Darcy Weir that terminated LunaCognita's channel was the same Darcy Weir who terminated my channel, to avoid impersonators and confusion. Copyrightslap responded and suggested, "YES!" it is the same Darcy Weir! However, they never directly said that to me. This is what they had to say to me:

"I have spoken to Cary Martynuik (previous owner of Luna Cognita channel) and we know this individual does not have the rights to upload his content to Youtube.

I have the rights to the content. They do not and Cary has told them to stop through their friend John."

The fault should be Darcy Weir here, not including Cary Martynuik.

Sometime ago before the email correspondence with Darcy Weir and Cary, me and Sgt.Rocknroll had a little chat.

Basically what he told me was to, "let it go" and, "Darcy Weir is handling his videos and he's happy with that!". What I was doing about seeking answers and truths behind the copyright strikes was just "beating a dead horse". At first he questioned if I was in this for the money, but you see Sgt.Rocknroll, I never was. I'm here to preserve truth, spread truth, and fight corruption as best as I can. It's time to know the truth once and for all, and stop dodging questions, and stop telling lies.

Right around, I believe, February 2021, was when Cary's channel was terminated, not voluntarily logged in and disabled, terminated by copyright strikes. Only one video I could find was taken down by "Warner Chappell" in 2018, but it was just one video I could find and it was not enough to terminate the channel. Even though this was issued, in the same year in 2018, the copyright claim was removed. It was only temporary that the video was disabled.
