Title: X-FILES ‘Most compelling’ UFO vid shows mystery craft split in two
Post by: astr0144 on February 13, 2022, 12:09:16 AM
X-FILES 'Most compelling' UFO vid shows mystery craft split in two at 120mph as 55 scientists demand Senate release secret data.

I dont think this has been posted before.. Or I could not find it on a quick search.
but it was from 2013. but the article from the UK Sun Newpaper wrote this in 2021.

The UFO was filmed flying over an airport in Puerto Rico that was near the sea, by another close by aircraft
and they show it enter into the sea and then come back out again still flying but as in two..
which was either as two seperate UFOs  where another one came out of the sea, or the initial one split into two parts.

Although not greatly clear in the Video, it looked better on TV...

It looks quite impressive..

QuoteA TEAM of scientists, engineers and former military officers have made the case for the "most compelling" UFO footage as they urged Congress to release more data on a string of strange encounters.

The Scientific Coalition for Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (SCU) told The US Sun they are encouraging the disclosure of more information so scientists can help to investigate these unexplained occurrences.

onathan Lace, spokesman for SCU, explained the organization believes "most compelling" footage of the anomalous activity was taken by a Homeland Security aircraft over Puerto Rico on April 25, 2013.

The eerie footage shows an object believed to be up to five feet in length moving at speeds of up to 120mph close the ground before seemingly plunging into the ocean and splitting into two.

"No bird, no balloon, no aircraft and no known drones have that capability," the SCU noted in a 50-page report the team compiled on the incident.

SCU investigators said the object appears to be of "unknown origin" after spending 1000 hours researching the UAP.

Mr Lace told The US Sun: "The SCU finds the 2013 Aguadilla UAP footage to offer the most compelling evidence of unusual UAP flight characteristics."

He noted the group has "no official" position on a leading theory for UAP as questions mount over the strange encounters which are being investigated by the Pentagon.

The US Sun contacted SCU - a think tank dedicated to exploring UAPs and other phenomena - as they released a letter set to Senators Mark Warner and Marco Rubio urging for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) to release more information on UAPs.

Some 55 members of SCU signed off on the document as they offered their services in the investigation of these strange phenomena - but their names have been withheld due to privacy concerns.

And when asked what is the most compelling footage of UAPs, Mr Lace directed The US Sun to their report on the incident in Aguadilla.

It comes as the UFO debate reopened again after the release of scraps of footage showing mysterious objects which the Pentagon confirmed had been recorded by serving members of the US military.

The videos were said to have been leaked from briefings by the UAP Task Force, a group set up by US defence chiefs after a vote by the Intelligence Committee last June.

The world is awaiting an unclassified report on UFOs by the Director of the National Intelligence and the Department for Defense which is due for release in June.

Competing theories on the strange videos continue to rage - with some grounded on Earth claiming the videos capture never-before-seen military aircraft or drones, while others claim it shows otherworldly craft possibly piloted by aliens.

SCU's 2013 video was captured at around 9.20pm as an unknown object flew across the runway of Rafael Hernandez airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

It was captured on infrared camera by a US Customs and Border Protection aircraft - the footage of which was leaked to SCU by an anonymous source.

It is claimed the pilots of a DHC-8 Turboprop spotted a red light over the ocean, they then contacted the control tower who told them they did not know the identity of the object, and then the object's lights went out as it approached the shore.

The plane then engaged its thermal imaging camera and went on to the follow the UAP.

'BEST WE'VE EVER SEEN'

The three-minute video shows the object crossing Puerto Rico before flying back and appearing to submerge into the Atlantic Ocean.

And perhaps most bizarrely, at one stage in the footage the object appears to split in two.

It also appears to not disturb the water when plunging beneath and then re-emerging from the surface - a phenomena known as "trans-medium" travel.

"This video is the best documentation of an unknown aerial and submerged nautical object exhibiting advanced technology that the authors of this report have ever seen," the report concludes.

In the letter to the Rubio and Warner, the SCU call for the release of more data from the infamous UAP incidents declassified last year by the Pentagon.

They urge the two Republicans to get behind efforts to release footage more footage of the infamous 2004 "Tic Tac" video from the USS Nimitz.

And they called for release of more information on the "Go Fast" and "Gimbal" videos filmed by the pilots from the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

In a statement, the SCU said: "The SCU believes that all government data regarding unidentified aerospace objects should be made available to the public to be openly investigated by the broader scientific community, provided that such data does not compromise sources or methods of data
collection.

"A full scientific investigation of such data would be able to uncover valuable information relating to both national security and advancement of our understanding of physics, aerospace engineering, and our world."

Mr Lace told The US Sun while they encourage disclosure as a process - they do understand the need to protect sources and methods used to collect data on UAPs.

"Given the term's varied interpretations, the SCU has no position on 'disclosure' understood as a single event or on reasons why some data may be kept secret", he explained.

It has been speculated that the objects which continue to appear in official footage filmed by US military personnel could be hypersonic drones from China or Russia.

At the beginning (at 33 and 39 seconds, or close to that) there's a time when it looks like two objects too. Also, I'm not sure if it enters the water or not, it's hard to say.

I saw the footage initially on a TV program on the Paranormal, and that claimed that it did enter the sea and then
later came out of the sea and another object appeared with it...in which the person describing it said it did enter
into and underneath the water for a few seconds before it reappeared.

The footage seemed clearer than the video... They maybe a better version somewhere...
or it may also depend which one you watched as there is a video with in the newspaper article.
That may vary from the Youtube one I posted.

The Sun Newspaper article  seems to suggest a bit different suggesting that the UFO split into two parts.

Initially I could not see what you described but when I looked a few more times... Yes I think I can at least at the 39 sec mark... Well NOTED !   I also see a few other things (3 or 4 ) it passes by upto the 55 sec mark that looked like a 2nd object.. but more or less remained stactic as the main object passed by them.

So to confirm....
In ref to the times you gave, I can NOW see SOMEthing  on the Bing link Video that I watched to suggest it was
two ufos at that time frame 39 sec (for a split sec and that parts looks like it was hoaxed)..other than that  I later also  saw one part where there appears to be two, but later when I relooked I think it was just passing by another object on the looked like it that appeare more static... the things we see as it passes by are many various uncertain images on the footage....BUT there are also parts of the video that I do think maybe questionable...that may suggest it was tampered with..but the object appears so small its not easy to see... such as part may appear as if there is a sort of distortion or small box around it..and I dont mean the Target area that [.] follows it across the screen like that Tic Tac video shot in 2015, if you can recall it...But that only occurs for a split second or two..and that I think was while flying over the airport..

Thn I thought there may had been a couple or so very quick changes in footgage as if something breifly appeared
that may had suggested it had been cut and re edited...when gets to go over the sea I think its harder to follow or not any distortions in the same way as the moving waves make hard to judge...

The article suggest it was 120 miles an hour at LOW level.. which may fast at such a low level, but NOT
greatly so compared to any normal aircraft flying at higher levels.

On checking to get some idea how fast Drones tend to fly... Other than maybe Military larger ones.. which I assume would go faster ..

the fastest I can see on this article is 70 MPH for the smaller fixed-wing drones.

BUT this says that  another one that is faster.

QuoteWhich drone holds the record for being the fastest?

Just in case you were curious, the Guinness world record for the fastest drone is currently held by the DRL Racer X.  Weighing just 1.76 pounds, the 2500 kV motors of the DRL Racer X are capable of reaching up to a whopping 43,000 RPM. This translated to a top speed of 179 mph, enough to break the world record as of July 2017.

The DRL Racer X was designed by the Drone Racing League (DRL), who is now working with BMW to attempt and break their own record. With the technical expertise and facilities of BMW's Aerodynamic Testing Center, it is probably only a matter of time before a new world record is created.

How Fast Can Drones Fly?

QuoteMaximum speed of common drones

With all our new knowledge on how drone flight works, perhaps we can have a new perspective when looking at the top speeds that can be reached by some of today's most popular drones. Below is a list of the maximum speeds of some commercial rotary wing drones

https://3dinsider.com/drone-speed/

For Standard Military drones... they can travel around 460 KM/ Hr or 285 MPH.

QuoteAccording to size, the division of military drones in the US Army is governed by the NATO group. Their division sort by the group is as follows: Group 1: (Micro / Small Tactical Drones) are aircraft weighing from 9kg to 25kg and at speeds up to 460km/h; the representative is Boeing ScanEagle.

But for Special Drones...which I assume are black Project craft..and I have NEVER seen this speed referred to before for a Manmade craft.. that is  MUCH Faster according to this if I can believe it.

27,000 KM/Hr or 16,667 MPH at a MACH 22

That seem quite unbelieveable and I was never aware of this as it seems a NEW record for any type of aircraft
other than a space craft.

Although its suggested that TR3Bs or the Black Triangles travel at severe speeds.  I was led to believe that TR3Bs can go into space.but when I did a online check, it suggested that they can only upto MACH 9.. (6200 MPH)

unless they do have some others that travel faster .

QuoteTR3B ...With the weight of the vehicle reduced by 89%, it can travel by 9 Mach (9 times the speed of sound, approx. 10,000 km / h,) either vertically or horizontally. Some sources say performance is limited only by pilots' biological limitations. There are many, considering that the mass is reduced by 89%, and G-forces (gravity.) Are also reduced by 89%

such as for eg I think it needs to be able to travel at least as fast as a rocket if not quicker...

For a Space Rocket to take off and to go into Space needs to travel at 25,000 miles an hr

QuoteA spacecraft leaving the surface of Earth, for example, needs to be going about 11 kilometers (7 miles) per second, or over 40,000 kilometers per hour (25,000 miles per hour), to enter orbit. Achieving escape velocity is one of the biggest challenges facing space travel.

Fastest Military Drones in the World

QuoteDrones serve multiple needs from civilian to military use but it is the military ones which would have raw power. In this article, we will look at the military drones and their use in various missions. The one advantage of having unmanned aircraft is that the designers need not worry too much about the "G" effects and push the aircraft to its absolute limit. The result is that the fastest drones are way faster than the military aircraft and military bombers.

Being unmanned also allows the drones to be more agile and quick (not fast). We will see many of them in this article.

So, let's go.

HTV 2

HTV 2

We just spoke about the fact that while designing a drone, the designers can let their hair loose, and looking at this particular drone we feel that they just let everything loose. The Falcon Hypersonic Technology Vehicle 2 will be designed for a Mach 20 and greater flight. This is close to the ballistic missiles' range, the fastest man-made object within Earth's orbit.

Aircraft: Falcon Hypersonic Technology Vehicle (HTV) 2
    Country: United States of America
Speed Record: Mach 22 [16,874 mph or 27,167 kmph]
Range: Designed for 10,000+ km [Expected]
Speed Record Created: April 2010 (HTV 1)
    Total Built: 2

The need for such a drone comes from the United States' plan to have an hour's strike capability anywhere in the world. An aircraft, therefore, flying at Mach 20 plus will be able to do it. Now the only aspect about HTV 1 and 2 is that they both couldn't survive the heat generated by the flight and were destroyed roughly 9 minutes into the mission. The mission was originally envisaged to be for 30 minutes. However, the flight did achieve a speed of Mach 22 and did give tons of vital information for designing such super-hypersonic flights in the near future. We will have to watch this space.
2. Lockheed SR-72
SR - 72 Artist's Impression

SR - 72 Artist's Impression

Wikimedia Commons

Now, this is not the iconic SR-71 that we are speaking about and I did not get the call-number wrong. This is the SR-72, the younger brother of SR-71, so to say, though this aircraft will be unmanned and hence a drone. The SR-72 is expected to do a Mach 6 which is nearly twice that of the SR-71.

    Aircraft: Lockheed SR-72
    Country: United States of America
Speed Record: Mach 6 [4,602 mph or 7,409 kmph]
    Range: Not Public yet
Speed Record Created: Not Public yet
Total Built: Expected to be in operation by 2030 (Numbers will be decided)

The SR-72 is planned to be an Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Aircraft along with strike capabilities. Its genesis puts a question mark on the cold-war era logic of avoiding aircraft for reconnaissance because of ICBMs and Cruise missiles. That was the reason for the XB-70 Valkyrie becoming history even before it entered production. If so, why would the SR-72 attempt to fill a gap that never was expected to be filled? Well, it appears that in the 21st century there is a huge gap between satellite surveillance, manned aircraft, and missiles. The SR-72 is supposed to fill that gap. So, we will see a successor to the SR-71 after all.

You can read here why XB-70's development was dropped.

3. Lockheed Martin QF-16
F-16. Unmanned version QF-16

F-16. Unmanned version QF-16

Wikimedia Commons

The F-16 was a known name around the world for its fighter-bomber capabilities and there are many countries who are owners of this particular fighter. But what exactly is it doing on the list of drones? Well, once the F-16 was retired from the American Air Force's arsenal, Boeing developed an unmanned version of it, which could do all possible maneuvers that the original aircraft could do. The only difference is that it is a UAV and not a drone. What's the difference? Very subtle, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) still requires pilots to remotely fly it, while the drones are on their own once they take-off.

Aircraft: Lockheed QF - 16 [UAV version]
    Country: United States of America
Speed Record: Mach 2 [1,534 mph or 2,470 kmph]
Range: 550 km to 4000 km [depending on the mission]
Speed Record Created: 1976 and multiple times during the flight
    Total Built: 4500+ [All Versions]

Though it is a UAV, the American Airforce is planning to use it as a target for other aircraft and drones being developed. It will be designated as QF-16 and will succeed the QF-4; the QF-4 was developed from the Phantom F-4, post its retirement.

Interestingly, the F-16 is still the first strike aircraft for most nations operating it and over here, the U.S. will be using it as a target for other aircraft; says a lot about the first strike aircraft that we can see from the U.S. arsenal in the near future.
4. BAE System's Taranis
Taranis Model

Taranis Model

Wikimedia Commons

BAE System's Taranis is an Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) developed for the British Air Force. It will fly along with manned aircraft in future missions. The Taranis is designed for varying operational parameters like Intercontinental flight, ability to carry multiple ranges of weapons for both air and ground targets and be fast (moderately in this case).

    Aircraft: Taranis
    Country: United Kingdom
    Speed Record: >Mach 1 [767 mph or 1,234.8 kmph]
    Range: Capable of Intercontinental Flight
Speed Record Created: During Testing in 2013
Total Built: 1 Prototype. To be operational by 2030

The operational drones will be much faster with longer range. In fact, the Taranis may find its development parameters shared and improved with another drone – Dassault Neuron – which as part of an Anglo – French treaty will lead to the development of a joint UCAV. By the way, the Taranis is a stealth aircraft, as the readers would have already figured out.
5. North Grumman X-47B
fastest-military-drones-in-the-world

Wikimedia Commons

The X-47 B is a UCAV being developed for the American Navy and therefore, has more of Carrier based operations. This is one aircraft which is not only being looked at for strike operations but also for aerial refueling operations. Aerial refueling has been an Achilles Heel for the Navy and they would mostly depend on aircraft like the Super Hornet to carry external fuels for buddy refueling. The X - 47B is in competition for taking the role of an aerial refueller, which is still ongoing, with Boeing and Lockheed being the other players. However, the UCAV capabilities have been tested and X - 47 B is the chosen model for that role.

    Aircraft: X – 47 B
    Country: United States of America
    Speed Record: >Mach 0.91 [698 mph or 1,124 kmph]
    Range: 3,900+ km
Speed Record Created: During Testing between 2011 and 2015
    Total Built: 2

The X-47 B, until 2015, had undergone such extensive testing with the Navy that they now intend to hold on to them for current operations. This is contrary to the original plan of retiring these prototypes post testing and have the operational ones come in by 2020. That, in a way, also speaks about the capabilities of the X-47B.
6. Dassault Neuron
Neuron in Paris Air Show

Neuron in Paris Air Show

Wikimedia Commons

The Dassault Neuron is an experimental UCAV being developed by France in collaboration with few countries. The intention is to come forth with a Eurofighter kind of consortium between countries. The ambitions behind the UCAV is quite high, expecting it to do better than any other UAV out there and having better range, payload, and capabilities. In the current experimental form following are the stats of the Neuron.

    Aircraft: Dassault Neuron
    Country: France
Speed Record: Mach 0.91 [698 mph or 1,124 kmph]
    Range: Intercontinental Flight
Speed Record Created: During Testing in 2013
    Total Built: 1 Prototype

One of the points about the name Neuron is that it reads as "nEUROn" to possibly denote Euro. Being an UCAV, pilots flying in manned fighters will control the Neuron. The Neuron is stealth UCAV and has a second version being developed along with the British. It is more like a Euro version and an Anglo – French version. Only time will tell if these models are going to be distinct or the same.

Back to the Manned Base

The UAV, UCAV or the drones, as we may call depending on the role, are pretty cool technological advances. As we speak, they are already available in the civilian version which may one day carry our groceries or orders from Amazon home. When there are peaceful versions of any technology, I find it difficult to understand why we need a combative one? That said, till humanity finds the answer let's drool over the speed these machines can achieve!

I watched the YouTube video. The Sun video appears to be resized and looks worse.
The TV show probably had access to the original video instead of the YouTube copy, and every time we post a video to YouTube it gets reencoded and loses some quality, so that's likely the TV show did have a better copy to work with.

There are some cuts that are the result of a change in zoom level (the camera probably has more than one lens instead of a zoomable lens), but according to the clock on the top left there isn't any noticeable jump in time.

greatly so compared to any normal aircraft flying at higher levels.
I plotted the UFO's path on Google Earth and the time it took to go across that path on the time we see it gave an average speed of 130 miles per hour, but it was based on the location pointed by the crosshair of the camera, for which we have the coordinates (on the lower right corner), so the object was closer to the camera than that.

Following the links on the Sun article I saw two reports, the Scientific Coalition for UFOlogy report (http://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/299316_9a12b53f67554a008c32d48eff9be5cd.pdf) and another report from Rubén Lianza (http://www.ipaco.fr/EN_IFO_B_heart_130425.pdf). The first is pro UFO version, the second points to a two heart-shaped Chinese lanterns explanation.

Thanks for your reply on this ArMaP.

Interesting what you have said and managed to research and find  out...
but even if there are some type of alterations in the film.. but maybe you believe its unlikly due
to the various info that is shown in the footage ..such as time and coordinates etc..

then its still rather uncertain if we think that also there appeared some posslble alterations in the film.

some part of the moving object appear solid and some parts of it in the film appear as if its
surrounded by something...such as for eg... if it was a static photo...that for eg that the image
could have been altered.

but whether could that say on a film for say a variation of the film in terms of each second clip or footage and some how alter each with an editor ... I am not sure , BUT As far I am aware, such things can be done by film editor...If it has been its has been done quite cleverly..

I dont know how it may compare with many other types of suggested UFO siting that we have tried to investigate..

Then I thought there may had been a couple or so very quick changes in footgage as if something breifly appeared that may had suggested it had been cut and re edited...when gets to go over the sea I think its harder to follow or not any distortions in the same way as the moving waves make hard to judge...

You have to remember that this was filmed in infrared, and it behaves in a different way to what we are used to see with visible light. What we are seeing on the video is differences in temperature, with darker areas being hotter than brighter areas.

Also, infrared cameras usually have a lower resolution than normal cameras, so the videos don't look as good.

I dont I was aware or reaised for sure of that it was in Infared...or whether it was taken in certain type of conditions..(such as maybe in lower light levels)...  or   that mentioned in the article or shown on the video somewhere. or just you experience based on observation.

But when I look your screen shots I have now noted IR..

Would you think that this may strengthen the likely hood that the footage could be genuiene ?
or the object shown seems for real  as an Unidentified Object ?

And on the top left corner you can see the date and time (UTC), so this was filmed during the night.

I think it's really an unidentified object. I don't see how we can know more than that just from one video.
