"So A51, what's up with your new avatar?"
Well, those who know me are of course wondering what new practical joke I must be up to. ;D (But perhaps in some darkly sarcastic way - not!... per usual) ;)
You are of course correct and I think it' a perfect moment around here for some Humor, Off Topic and Just Plain Sillyness. ;D
I so enjoyed my last mystery man contest I decided to start another and the subject is -
<--- Who is the fine chap I have chosen as my new avatar?
(hint - he really does seem to fit me quite well! ;D )
First 3 correct answers sent to me via PM win! ;D
he's older man.
gray hair.
he appears to have dipped his fingers in blue paint
so he's a painter or fell in paint.
he's wearing a pair of white pants that have an egyptian or middle eastern flair to them. with a belt tied at the waist that appears to be part of his attire.
over the middle of his head, down to where center forehead is, there's a long blackish/brown thing that may be connected to a pair of headphones, although that's hard to see.
he's in a modern building. there's a guy with a white shirt and a black tie in the background so it's at least modern era photograph.
he's overtly dramatic, so maybe this is a movie scene.
just checked your post on morons from space. perhaps he's a character in that movie?
Accurate assesment of the photo undo.
But he might not be 'overtly dramatic'. Maybe it's just the right amount in his situation. ;) ;D
I'm not messing with that guy
Le
Unless someone recognizes this character from a movie or TV, I think you have us somewhat clueless !
There has been so many movies made in the last 20 years...and I rarely go to watch them these days....
I for one am going to need a few clues to have any chance with this one !
Well I just came across an image where you may have obtained
your previous Alien Avatar ... ;D

the guy from one flew over the cuckoo's nest
but no...how about
the guy who is mad as hell about the stock market..
oh grrrrrrrrrrr
gotta think about it
maybe if i make the picture bigger

Erm... when the answer becomes known, I think you are going to be pretty amazed. (But again maybe not, maybe you do this type of thing all the time. :o )
In any case, I know I am. :o
I am doubtful I will be champion with this one ! :D
At an initial guess...he may be from one of the Martial Arts movies...
He certainly looks one scary dude !....
so if this is a guy that you are now basing yourself on...
We have to ask what are the reasons behind it ! :)
A Waiting for Clue Number 1...or some form of indication that one of us may be along the right lines.

ok..so hit us with the dang clue already
i finally figured out who i was thinking of and it was peter finch in network
where he said he was mad as hell and not going to take it anymore
but then i decided that wasn't it.. ;D
i'm really not much of a movie fan..but if it was advertised i might have seen that part of it
and geee i don't think the guy looks scary so much as he needs some help with his wardrobe
;) ;D
after midnight here so about time to check out
where's the clue..question guy....
:-[
sky -
I'm thinking, I'm thinking! Hold on a sec! LOL ;)
Ok today's clue IS -
While a uechi Ryu sensei he may be...
in the end the answer for us is not clear to see.
And whilst a 'scary dude' he might also be...
in this case he is more full of glee.
For 'Mad as Hell' he is not...
but the Cuckoo's nest IS -
part of the plot!
;) ;D
he sorta looks like an egyptian pharaoh without the eye make up and glitzy jewelry. he fell perhaps and his head set is now
ajar. the microphone of the head set has slipped over the top of his head. maybe.
Kinda reminds Me of Escape From New York... But I don't know when or where in that film He may have shown up...
EDIT to add: or maybe Blade Runner... One of those dystopian films.

We do not have a clue about that man.
Peace Love Light
tfw
Liberty & Equality or Revolution
And today's clue IS - ;D
A lead role his part it was not...
anothers whose was, he put on the spot.
And while not 'Mad as Hell' as I mentioned before,
he's certain not to take it, not anymore -
...and most certain, not from some pompous idiot!
Confronting those who had always said Nay...
he now had jumped right in the way.
His ears they had heard, not only the word...
he had seen the sight which had led to this day.
well darn A51
your clues aren't helping much..
obviously an actor from one flew over the cuckoos nest...
or maybe a rebel director
i've seen this guy but
darn..just can't get his name
it's a absolute beautiful day after a not so big moon
so i am headin for a walk in the woods..
with any luck i will get to see the bear they say is out there
eveyone sees it but me
much like your clues..
sigh
8)
sky -
Hope you saw the bear but it didn't see you. :P
And here is today's clue - ;D
For those who enjoy a good laugh every day,
the answer is not far away.
Those familiar with that which I post...
will find the answer much quicker than most.
I tread the fine line of preparing today's clue...
whose influence hopefully will not be undo.
One who should trust in their intuition,
will find it that it came to fruition.
And even you yourselves have provided great clues -
you might try stepping into one of their shoes.
A51
i'ma workin hard on those clues..
didn't see the bear..sigh
ok..what you post
ufo stuff..gov cover up stuff
not undo..so not stargates
ears..nimoy..was he in the cuckoonest
no but in the stage version in '74..
ok not him..
not the newer spock either cause he is built different than the avatar guy
shatner...hummmmm no doesn't fit
he's not a background guy
on glee?..he sings?
or is glee a comedian..?
a good laugh EVERY DAY...dang gotta check some ideas out about that
the costumes in the pic look 50-ish ..so some kind of film about then
oh hell i need a beer
but
i'll be back
no not him either
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I see that A51 has become a mystery Poet....
He has now created 3 clever poems that have covered
various clues...either indicating or eliminating them.
I am still no wiser though !

I can see from replies including yours, that clues can sometimes either -
A) Have 2 meanings
or
B) there are 2 sides to every coin.
Sometimes duplicity happens just from different perspectives.

Film released in the 80's
hey
back to the future was 1985..i did see that one
and christopher lloyd is in it
and i pm'd you
was it him and you said no
are you holding to that../.. ???
sky -
Good detective skills. If you have settled on one then PM your answer.
This reminds me a lot of researching UFOs. You track down many trails not knowing if or where they will lead.
...and then occasionally you hit the jackpot.
and
he was also in star trek
His "Taxi" (1978) character, Reverend Jim Ignatowski, was a big fan of the original "Star Trek" (1966) series. Lloyd later went on to play the Klingon commander Kruge in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984).
and
To prepare for the role of Taber in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), he lived in a mental institution for a few weeks and studied the patients. He modeled his character after one of the patients and stayed in character throughout all filming even when not on screen.
i was asking if you were holding onto your answer that it was not lloyd

As the clue maker I am bound by honor to make them factual and answer PM guesses honestly.
Read back over them after you discover the answer, and you will find this to be true.
However clever wording is the art form of this contest when the game's afoot. ;D

1980s.....
I keep looking at this guy and I do think that I have seen him
at some time...
He seems to have a bit of Eastern in him...and may have starred in a Kung Fu Movie...
Reminds me of a character in the water Margins series.
BUt at the same time he seems a bit old for it..
Is it a scene from a fight ?
Adding to Undos observations..
The Blue stuff he has on his trousers and fingers...I wonder if that is from the Floor as that is also blue..
There seem to be about 3 maybe 4 others persons in the picture.
I want to add for clarity that players are not limited to one guess.
You may submit new guesses as often as you like.
;D
So this guy is NOT the main character of the film !
But is he in it a fair amount ? or Just a small part ?
I take it you have seen this part of this movie ....
IF so is that a Blue carpet or floor or a swimming pool in that background ?
Quote from: astr0144 on May 07, 2012, 05:01:36 AM

Ok it's past midnight so here's todays clue -
For those searching but not in a great haste,
will see with each post made in this place,
the answer staring them right in the face.
When using intuition and deciding which is right,
have we not learned which one not to fight?
When sorting which speculation is best,
and then also which might be instead worst,
remember sometimes the best hint be not the last,
but instead the one that was...

Just so you start off on even ground perhaps you should actually ask what the MJ actually originally stood for? Anybody? Or am I preaching to the choir here? Linda

Majestic Jehovah appears to be the commonly accepted acronym these days.

That's why my message to sky said the real members of MJ-12 in a sarcastic fashion per usual. I also note the source(s) (or lack of) in the above thread.
I do have a few ideas on tracking down the original members of whatever this group was actually called, but that's for another puzzle on another day! ;) ;D
My response to this is that this " Group"... whoever they were.... would be too smart to assign themselves any kind of name at all. Linda
