QuoteIs living off the Grid now a crime?

Apparently living off the grid, off the land and without government assistance is now a crime that can land you in jail and cause you to lose your home.
Government officials across the country are forming so called "nuisance abatement teams" to intimidate people into giving up their land or conforming to the governments demands and hooking back into the grid. Counties across the country are actually jailing people for living the way they want to live.

Read more and see vids at the link.  Man, this is NOT "America!"

The Antelope Valley is a vast patch of desert on the outskirts of Los Angeles County, and a segment of the few rugged individualists who live out there increasingly are finding themselves the targets of armed raids from local code enforcement agents, who've assembled into task forces called Nuisance Abatement Teams (NATs).

The plight of the Valley's desert dwellers made regional headlines when county officials ordered the destruction of Phonehenge: a towering, colorful castle constructed out of telephone poles by retired phone technician Kim Fahey. Fahey was imprisoned and charged with several misdemeanors.

But Fahey is just one of many who've been targeted by the NATs, which were assembled at the request of County Supervisor Mike Antonovich in 2006. LA Weekly reporter Mars Melnicoff wrote an in-depth article in which she exposed the county's tactic of badgering residents with minor, but costly, code violations until they face little choice but to vacate the land altogether.

"They're picking on the the people who are the most defenseless and have the least resources," says Melnicoff.

Reason.tv collaborated with Melnicoff to talk with some of the NAT's targets, such as retired veteran Joey Gallo, who might face homelessness if he's forced to leave his house, and local pastor Oscar Castaneda, who says he's already given up the fight and is in the process of moving off the land he and his wife have lived on for 22 years. And, while Antonovich declined an interview, we did catch up with him at a public meeting in order to ask the big question at the center of all this: Why the sudden enforcement of these codes against people living in the middle of the desert, who seemingly are affecting no one?

We exist in a slave system.
A usary debt based system .
when Your birth certificate is signed a debt is raised against Your name that YOU promise to pay back .
You are expected to do this by contributing into the system, even though You are unaware such a system exists.
You are owned by the system.

You have been told a pack of lies, and as believers ....You believe them.
Land of the FREE....a joke....sorry.
America was created by the system, it is been USED to carry the system globally.

OFFICERS , or enforcement police will enforce the slaves to comply.
That is what You are seeing .
The corperations, especially the city of London own YOU.
You are a slave to them.

Slaves who THINK they are free work harder.

It is going to be really difficult for Americans in particuler to comprehend that they are slaves.
Your military industrial complex is nothing other than an expansion force to subject those not in the debt system to become so.

Ah, hobbit.  Preaching to the choir, Y'are.  [smile]

The friend whose floor I am sleeping on has been studying the debt system and informing Me of mostly things I already knew - with a few new twists thrown in.

Yes, I knew all this - but You're right that most here don't and would likely refuse to believe.  Jordan Maxwell started My eyes opening.  That is why I feel compelled to eliminate the need for money - it will end slavery.  For real and finally.

California food police gone wild: LA County health enforcers conduct door-to-door raw milk confiscation operations
http://www.naturalnews.com/035895_food_police_raw_milk_confiscation.html

This is the stuff that will launch a civil war.  So many times I wanted to post something on this thread, but never did because it's an issue that easily upsets me.  I wish there was a way to live in this country without being so scrutinized.  If there were a way to own land free of taxes, I'd pursue it aggressively.  Why is there so much stigma leveled against those who wish to live off the grid?
I remember when the big bad stepped in and said we can no longer buy unpasteurized milk.  How the hell did we get so far from our roots?
Next we wont be allowed to make our own cheeses or buy meat from farmers directly.  Good lord this topic bothers me.

Well...  money=power=energy.  As Jeremy Rifkin put it, money is just stored energy credits.  Add free energy and the need for money and the control of Other it allows dissipates.  This is the prime reason They have suppressed free energy.  So once free energy is out in the open, this kind of sh*t will NOT happen.
