How to Survive Year of the Dragon 2012 and be Successful

First of all, a Dragon year occurs every 12 years according to the Chinese calendar, where each year is represented by an animal. This also ties in closely with the Chinese astrology and indeed their whole culture.
To a Westerner, this may seem strange, but it would seem that there are many natural cycles that occur every 12 years, and also many human events as well.
I was born in a Dragon year, which makes me a dragon :) and this is my year.

The Chinese zodiac is similar to the Western one, which uses 12 months per year, only the Chinese one uses cycles of 12 years.
Every 5 of these cycles (=60 years) something big happens....

OK so they missed 9/11 by 2 years, and 2012 doesn't seem as worthy of attention as 2028, which is the beginning of the next 60 year cycle.
If a meteorite smashes into Earth tomorrow, there's not much you can do about it, but you can survive financially & mentally through the crisis, which is a transition period.

I was reading a 'key to success' article in the local paper, which was more given to financial or relational ends, but i thought it relevant to everybody (especially now) and it's not about money or making an impression, it's about how we can all apply this to everything we do.
Especially when dealing with each other.
This simple 'self help' plan (in the form of 2 expensive books, of course) can be applied to everyone everywhere, regardless of your race, religion, social backround, whatever.
All those rich & successful people use this, and they probably did it by selling books like this ;)
But the local paper very kindly printed the relevant parts, and i have very kindly (loosely) translated it into English for you :)

If you don't know what you want in life, you are a boat adrift, bobbing around on the sea of life, which is rough at times.
The authors advise you to listen to your dreams to find out where your needs are, what you really want. If you take the time for some short naps or daydreams, write them down at once.
This has (apparently) quite an impact, it enables you to see more clearly your heart's desire, rather than what your brain is telling you when you are awake.
Once you have clearly defined what it is you want, it enables you to FOCUS on it, you automatically have the MOTIVATION to do something about it.

For example, you want a million bucks (Yeah me too).

OK so what were you planning to do with that million?
"Well, i thought a big mansion, a world cruise, maybe have a yacht built to order..."
No, those are the things you want to do with a milion bucks.
Now tell me what you really want to do?

Most of the above you could probably get with much less money, or even for free...
Get in a comfy chair with a pen & paper, take some deep breaths, relax, and write down what you would like to DO with a million bucks.
Remember, these are your dreams, they have no limit.
Take the brakes off & fly, the sky's the limit, (or as this paper puts it: Heaven has no ceiling!)

2: ADD UP SMALL & BIG SUCCESSES.

Success is a way of thinking, a frame of mind.
If you are a millionaire, and bump into a billionare, you will probably feel worthless next to him ;)
Write down your successes, and update them, even if it's small things like 'i managed to buy that fridge with 10% discount after haggling with the guy in the shop today', or 'i've been accepted for the Advanced Tango class'
By counting on your past success, you are mentally equipped to handle the next one, you gain faith in yourself. Many people who write about positive thinking say the same thing:
That which you concentrate on, starts to happen.
Your faith in yourself will guarantee the success, and the success will make you more self assured, it will restore your faith in yourself.
The one fuels the other.

3: MATCH YOUR DEEDS TO YOUR GOALS.

It's great weather outside, the door is open, but you choose to sit indoors & eat cake all day.
Here your actions are in conflict with your goal.
For any chance of success, your actions should always be in agreement with your goals.
I don't want to take the trash out, but the can is full.
But what i really want is the trash out of the house.
Solution? Take the trash out....
If you want that promotion, it doesn't help to clock out on the dot at 5.
If you want your relationship to be a happy one, it helps to do your best to please your partner.
Avoid conflict re; above. Call them & tell them you will be a bit late.

Even successful people realise that sometimes our behavior tends to sabotage our goals.
Too much alcohol, food, facebook, dumb films. It all gets in the way of you reaching your goal.
No pain, no gain.
The trick is to find things to do that you intrinsically LIKE doing, choose something that fascinates you and you can really get into it.
Losing weight is much easier if you find a sport or hobby that you ENJOY, so much so that time simply flies, and you are left out of breath but extremly happy.
Wealth is a side effect of you having fed the goose that laid the golden egg...

4: KNOW YOUR WEAKNESSES.

From studies it has been shown that successful managers tend to scorn slovenly workers and won't make time for them, they are not prepared to waste time & energy trying to motivate employees. They will make time for those they see as useful & productive, but they won't flog a dead horse.
You don't want to be a dead horse, but spending time & effort trying to do something that you know you're not good at, is simply wasting time.
Research yourself. Find out what you are good at, and not good at.
Make a list, and ask a good freind to read it, & ask them to be HONEST with you.
In this way, you avoid making a too-rosy or too-bleak picture of yourself ;)
Investing in your good qualities or talents will take you much further.
Also from the list you will find what you are not so good at, and you should make freinds with someone who has just those talents that you lack, to help you out.
Let them be your role model for the difficult tasks, see how they approach it.

5: MAKE A 'TO DO' LIST.

Sounds corny, but this is exactly what many successful people do (i don't, i guess that's why i'm still poor).
Make a list of things to be done in the next few days, noting the time you think you need to do it.
Always allow for spontaneous changes, etc. As a rough guide, allow 60% of your time for the work, and 40% free time for unforseen events.
So in an 8 hour work day, allow 5 hours for getting something actually done, and 3 hours for dealing with unexpected problems or delays.(which i always do;)
Give priority to the most important things, and if possible, DON'T let others handle it.
At the end of the day, go through the list & anything still not done goes on the top of tomorrow's list. Simple.

6: NO MONEY=NO REASON NOT TO DO ANYTHING.

This is the main excuse everyone uses for not being successful.
Most people who have seen have seen their dreams come true were not thinking about money, if they ever had any to begin with. Their focus was on realising their dream, if money was involved, it eventually came to them through hard work, saving, or finding an investor to sponsor them.
They put other things to one side and focused on their dream.
Using lack of money as an argument for not realising your dream is a waste of your life force and your true ability.
The result will be that you will not be happy, and won't take an opportunity when it comes along.
If you won't dare take a chance, ask yourself why that is.

7: CHOOSE A ROLE MODEL THAT SUITS YOU.

If you look like a sack of potatoes but you want to look like Naomi Campbell, you will tear yourself to bits every time you try to make the comparison.If you are on welfare and can only complain about the rich, it will only make you feel worse.
Insecurity & too much self-criticising will stand in the way of your success.
If you want to succeed, look at someone who HAS succeeded in the same dream that you have, study them,read their biographies, take some inspiration from them (it's free).
What do you have in common with them?
But you don't have to become them. You have your own unique perspective, and it will show, let it be seen.

There you have it, not just the key to personal success but the success of everybody around you.
We all have the same goals at the end of the day, a peaceful & prosperous life.
And if any of you DOES become a millionaire, i want to talk to you about investing in my spaceship........

It would be nice to learn all their tricks & play their own game.
When i look at it this way, i've been doing exactly what i want to do (except work) and i've got almost everything i need.
Since most of the gear has to be built from scratch, it's not a question of money for me, more a question of getting the materials together & finding the time to work on my projects.
Vacation is coming up, so it will be the perfect time for trying out these ideas, reading theories etc.
I wish you all well with your endeavours, and we will all have a BIG party in December to celebrate the dawn of a new age :D

It looks like i'm a Wood dragon, which is true. I love working with wood, i love trees. Most of my prototypes are built on a wooden frame, it's the perfect building material.

Ok so we're wandering a bit, i don't mind.
It's intersting to see how we are so much like our animal signs :D and it started as a bit of a joke.
But maybe we can discover more about ourselves, & try to see how that fits in with 2012 in general.
The Mayan calendar is spot on with the dates, but what the 'end' or 'beginning' of the 'cycle' is, we still do not know.
We should go with our feelings on this one, i for one have very positive feelings about the 'approaching wave' as Linda put it, and i think there will be great changes, both good & bad.
Let's concentrate on assisting the good changes, and prepare to counter the bad ones.

I see the approaching wave has arrived, and sure we can trumpet about how astrology will define us, and as a smake (sep 21st 1965), I should point out its hard staying wrapped around that staff!

Back to the task at hand. We dont need to try to survive anything, as soon the wave will arrive, and we will visually see things that havent been seen for hundreds of years.

Judgements will be unecessary, and the amazement of what is happening will push the wars aside and help us to become one with our planet again. we dont need to go to the mountains to hide, or buy guns and water bottles like mad, we need to open our eyes to the a.s.s backwards society we have created, and concentrate on weeding out the hopeless souls. Call it depopulation or whatever, but for humanity to return to that golden age will require the elimination of billions of what some might call...deadweight...lives that were began for the worng reasons, and then lived with the wrong approach...basically the evil folks need to die, for us to get our world back.

Defining evil then becomes paramount and hopefully, whatever wave we see, it has the ability to do it for us, as we have judged for too long as it is, and we need to step back and allow Mother Earth to repair the damage.

I know if this depop happens Ill be among the living, as Ive lived my life with a caring heart fot those around me, and if that's faith, so be it. I know you guys here will all be with me wherever we end up, and someday twenty years from now, who knows? maybe we will be drinkning tea in a garden together picking dinner for our guests and only worrying about how many organic veg we need for dinner...what a dream!

Vigilance is the most powerful tool we have in the shed now, and trying to save this meat suit from harm is futile, as when we go, we never die, and dangit!, this meat suit is getting worn out quick!LOL!

Sky Otter.... How to explain..... whew.... thats a tough one but I am just going to type.... it will either make sense to you or it will not. And while I am doing this I am being careful at the same time not to give certain entities the satisfaction of a nod in their direction. So a certain amount of reading between the lines might have to be done.

Several days ago I was told by an inside source that I trust very much that " Mikado is on the move." Nothing more than that single sentence which of course is frustrating but I guess if I needed to know more I would have been told more. What the message tells me is that he is doing something else with his "energies" ...... and that " They know about it/ I guess thats all I am supposed to know. OK. I can deal with that.

Have you been reading the messages from Lady of Lights? Did you catch her first thread which mentioned some sort of " locomotive and a man getting on from the left side."?  It would be good to look at her exact words because I don't want to mislead you by a mistake in paraphrasing.

Now this lady.... possibly..... does not know me from Adam.... I want to believe that.... Does she know that a black engine..... another word for it is MIKADO.

recently, i was inspired by watching a movie called ADVENT CHILDREN. it was based on the final fantasy video game series.  by the time i got to end of that movie, i was lit up like i could do some serious changes in my life, and then, as time and distance separated me from the energy, it dissipated, and when i went back to find it, it was gone.  i grumbled about it and then forgot.  i think i need a daily dose of that stuff, cause i was feeling my cheerios that day.  odd what can inspire us. 

sorta like 12 step programs (like alcoholics anonymous, etc), if that cigar box can keep you from having another drink, it's your higher power. well my higher power is not a cigar box but it sure the heck tries to act like it is (i don't drink, i just have a cigarette habit that like refuses to go away).  and if the extra bit of inspiration i find in an odd place like a video game movie, i'll take what i can get! lol

I definitely feel the instigation of an unseen force is at work somewhat there, and for me, only one subject makes my blood boil, and thats the restrictive belief structures of religion.
I do my best to openmindedly learn why the world is the way it is, and how we arrived at this point, and all the pauses in our furtherment have been perpetrated in the past by religions and their forceful doctrines.
I do see Rdunk, and Undo, as firm in their beliefs, and Im proud to say they are two somewhat religious folks who seem to be open minded for the most part, and Im impressed with the way theyve handled themselves....with class and respect for others who dont empirically agree with them.
This is an ongoing event, not a blip, and we will need vigilance at the very most forefront of our minds, to repel these negative nellies of non-normalcy, so awareness and communication is paramount to our deflection of the future crop of stronger and stronger waves.
Each time we experience this, we get stronger ourselves, and to listen and learn like you have been stresssing to us is important beyond anything.
No more attacks or fingerpointing, it's time to become a cohesive team with a common goal here, and allow the positive to be the 55, and the negative to be the 34, and indicator of how we exist and control our own outcomes.

I have not read everything at the hut, but being on ATS for x years has taught me a thing or two. I have read every wierd wacky theory, every heated discussion, every troll, and even a few bona-fide disinfo agents.
I know they are working for the government, but i can't prove it.
I note what they are up to & send PM's to other members to 'look out'.

Regardless of what anyone thinks PWM, you wont have to go it alone as long as Im around, I like your idea of showing how our collective is real, and examining how to use it for good.
Linda has a valid issue here, and although all of us dont agree on this psy-ops thing, it is real, and she has been aware of it for some time, and now sees it going for us, her friends.
The statements about how Linda brought us from her so called other little forums, was completely uncalled for, and is an attack on a dozen or more of us who have been a big part of the PRC family recently. I personally take that to heart as Linda has been a good friend through a tough time for me, and I as well as many others will stand by her in any time of need, as I would do for anyone of you, too.
Im part of a team here, and even if Undo says thats an inquisition, Im not inquisitive enough to ask why she did.
As I said before, Undo, I have no beef with you, and my views on religion have as much weight as yours on the same subject, so arguing on a forum wont solve anything. Ive never attacked your integrity, and never will, so maybe we can see the light at the end of the tunnel before someones feelings get really hurt?

In a forum, we all have opinions, and the sorting of such is a deep effort for some, and emotions come into play before the fingers can stop. I for one see goodness in all here, and always see the outcome of any conversation here as a move forward.
Now, as far as this wave of negativity, there are a few issues to sort out. We all saw the downward spiral of matrix, of course, and how he and Dave volleyed back and forth for what seemed like an eternity.
What some dont realize is that we all have a choice to let this negativity in or not. Excercise your minds natural power!

Instead of taking lowball shots at one another, lets learn from the previous experience with this type of snappy banter, and become a team. I know it sounds goofy to you Undo, but a team is stronger than any individual, and needs to be balanced with opposing views and differing ideas, all presented for the ultimate outcome...success.

Pete Carroll didnt agree with all his players, and Bobby Bowden had enough success although disagreements with his coaches were commonplace.

Apart from all the doom & gloom theories, Mayan calendar & the rest, how are we going to survive the coming year, when a global economic meltdown is imminent?

Anyone who is familiar with Agenda 21 knows that TPTB have various solutions to the population problem, none of them are particularly enticing.
They now have their world of billions of slave workers (sorry, Consumers) and now it's getting out of hand. Once they have total control, they will only need about 20% of the current population....
We are using too much of everything, and thanks to the mindless 'must have it now' culture they have created, they are seeing things get out of control.
You would have thought they would have applied the brake earlier, but it shows no signs of slowing up. This is not good news, the more momentum we have, the harder the impact will be.
There is no solution to this unless we, the people, start applying the brake ourselves

With respect to the OP about being 'succcessful' i was rather hoping we could use this formula for something other than financial gain.
We could use it to rise above this sea of doubt & uncertainty we are in, to communicate better with each other, make lots of freinds, & all be one big happy family.

The divide-and-conquer doctrine, coupled with mass media subliminal messaging, is really having a negative effect on us. We need to break free of it.

We need to concentrate on our goals, not just personal ones, but our common goal.
What is our common goal?, what is it that we can all agree on 100%?

How about:
A happy & healthy life, with good housing, clean water, and no shortage of food.
No wars, plagues, nuclear disasters, oil spills or anything nasty like that.
Universal (free) schooling, transport, energy, and plenty of free time to be creative.
A universal Gaia field that we are all part of, and are all contributing to.
Being able to see clearly where we are going, and what we Humans are capable of becoming.

So if we all share this common goal, why the hell can we not pull our fingers out and get to work on it? Outside control? Forget it.
Each & every one of us is our own master, we have complete control of everything around us, but we don't know it yet.

First, we have to make it through the transition from the money (oil) based society, to a working-together-for-the-benefit-of-all society. This will also mean a transitional period of chaos and also going back to the old system of trade, precious metals, corn etc.
It worked well for 1000's of years until some moron invented 'credit' and another moron invented 'tax' :)
This is just one of the approaching waves heading towards us, and like all waves it will have troughs in between. But to stand on the crest of a wave and see across the trough to the next peak, and even further ahead, seeing the still waters beyond, is awe inspiring, and a wonder to behold.
Take a deep breath, dive into the trough, and prepare to climb the next wave.

A side note on the Gaia field.

When Asimov wrote the 'foundation' trilogy, he wrote about the next 4,000 years of human evolution with such clarity and attention to detail that one is left wondering that this is really how it's going to happen.
In the novel, a character is 'posessed' by no less than 2 other parties, she became I/We/Gaia(by chance it was a woman) and she was equally capable of staring open mouthed in wonder at a flower, cuddling a puppy, and killing 1000's of people simply by thinking about it.

The Gaia field was the life force of an entire planet, it was by far the strongest, and it forced the other 2 parties into an agreement, and it did this (when all else failed) by subtly altering their minds. The field did not want to meddle with us, but it had no choice, we were heading for mutual destruction.
Asimov not only predicted this field & how it worked, but he also predicted the Human's reaction to it. A very sharp mind, and one i sorely miss.

Now this may all be fairy-tale romanticising, but if there is such a field, we really should be reaching out to communicate with it, instead of wasting our energy on each other.
We should be doing this not for our sake, but for the sake of future generations.

I do miss Asimov, but he had his mark seared into my memory, and his job was done here. We need to listen to what he had to say, and get that Gaia field in our hearts, and minds immediately.
Now for what capt dave's issue was, Ive never heard of someone, even an accomplishe RVer doing anything so heinous with any success, and find it to be a disturbing change in their techniques. I, as a quite experienced Rver, have never encountered any wall or attack that was too powerful for me, as I call out the Gaia field for help, and walls wither in front of my view.

We could learn to RV and psy-comm all day with a slight success of around 30-40 percent, but when we ask the Gaia field for it's loving touch, it will rise to the occasion like a rocket into space, and help us along the path to truth about who and what is "attacking" us.
If anyone reading this isnt familiar with this field, you need to read up on it because it pertains to the new mindset we will be adopting in the next few years, as mental and physical beings becoming one unified field.
Also, take the time to meditate deeply daily, and learn what triggers your minds natural defenses. It will come to those who seek for the right reasons, and usher in a new method of knowing your opponent.

Of course all of that doesnt matter in 2012 when youre being attacked by a neighbor who wants to feed his family, and knows you have food, so yes, guns are a sorry necessity of this new paradigm. Dont let another person take your spot on the new planet we will be a part of, and make sure you are prepared to hermit up for weeks while the SHTF.

Ive posted a few lengthy tomes about how to prepare for the physical battle on PRC before, as Im somewhat well informed on such needs, and now Im trying to learn how to bring the universe into my heart and let is shepherd me to safety in the event anything occurs in the form of a mental attack.
If any of you have questions about these techniques, as Sky said...Pm she, or me, and we will be happy to offer a few tips for recognizing the difference between an attack, from a state of anger or depression that is naturally occuring.

I think I want to be around PWM if anything happens though, as he has the coolest tools and creations Ive seen from any researcher out there! Id feel safe in that shop, with telsa coils guarding the doors, and electrostatic strips surrounding the property fed by those coils!

a couple years ago, i read a report that there are now nuclear weapons with such destructive force, that if one were dropped on scotland it would still have enough force left over to melt the tower of london.  the entire british isles would be incinerated.  ireland, scotland and england.

Undo..... sorry it has taken me awhile to get back to you. I want to stress here that this is a theory of mine that will either in the future be proven or disproven.... I believe that it is valid and that the disclosures coming down the pike will soon prove it....
