It seems to me that i have this knack at identifying people's
strongest points, and i often end up trying to convince them to follow
that path. However, sometimes people don't want to follow their
strongest points or disagree, for any number of reasons, some of them perfectly legit and understandable, and some of them, perplexing. If you find that i'm trying to encourage you to do something that you don't want to do,
don't take it personally. It's just me wishing the best for you no matter what you decide to do.
With all the negative stuff out there right now, people seem to have this driving need to blame someone else for all their problems or the problems in the world. and as you've already witnessed, i'm not interested in being blamed for other
people's decisions. been there done that and in the infamous words of robert morningsky, "send me a postcard."
Anyway, to get to the point of this thread, I thought i'd mention a few things i've noticed are strong points of other people on PRC. if you think i'm right and have no qualms about pursuing that path, by all means, take this as sincere encouragement.
So without further ado:
Amaterasu is a good motivator, has a nice radio voice and a pleasant personality. I think she should be either a host on a radio or tv show, or a motivational speaker.
Linda Brown is an incredibly descriptive writer. She's had a full, colorful and interesting life, and would make a great author or screenplay writer.
Hobbit is a great thinker. He/she should write philosophical books and just to prove he did it, film himself climbing mt. everest, bungy jumping, handgliding, surf sailing, snorkeling, build a teepee, something adventurous!
Zorgon would make a great movie director. Has that steven spielberg thing going, although he's probably just a little too nice to do what some directors or most directors do to get their actors on target. Still he's good people and has a great, imaginative mind, with a strong visualization ability. No need to waste a good mind!
Little Enki, would be a great stand up comedian, or a person who helps depressed people by cheering them up with his joyful enthusiasm. Just remember that's what you're there for, not to laugh at them but to get them to laugh and laugh with them. That's why i say, you'd make a great comedian. resist the urge to laugh at the emotionally distraught and you'll be a great healer to boot! gotta help THEM laugh, not the other way around. you are not the joker in the deck, you're captain jack sparrow. go do something really good and meaningful and ignore that other guy who thinks only some people deserve to be happy! you know that's not true and so do i.
Ellirium is a skilled organizer. if self-motivated to do so, he could organize the planet, i think.
I've not had sufficient time to get to know some of the other posters, so I can't make any comments on them but maybe eventually. lol

Insightful post, Undo!
I always wanted to be a comedian, but everyone said there was already one Jim Carrey, and that was enough! LOL!
I have to say, Im lucky to be sort of an observer for personalities, too, Undo, and if I may, say this....
Beth/Undo: Once was living a normal life until an abnormal situation reared it's ugly head. her fortitude and solid character helped her through this tough time, and she came through with flying colors!
She has a certain quality for seeing what others dont, and shows a clear passion for whatever she undertakes.
A great deal of wisdom is in that head of hers, and she isnt afraid to share it with others. The experiences she has had show that nothing is going to keep her down, and her efforts so far have proven this.
An artist at heart, Undo has talents we here at PRC havent even begun to realize, and from what I can tell, fairness is a big part of who she is.
Proud to call you friend, Beth.
David
That's interesting, and not that far from my opinion about those members, although I don't know them that well, so we are both right, both wrong, or at least we get the same idea from their posts. :D
Now, what do you see as your strong points?
And about me, what's your opinion about any possible strong point, if you don't mind my asking? :)

ArMap,
i'm so sorry i left you out cause i know you better than most of the people here, besides zorgon! i think you'd be particularly good as a lawyer. you have a sense of fairness and a great deal of tenacity. i recall debating pics of the moon with you for, good grief, must have been weeks, may be even months. smart too. yep you'd make a great lawyer. but since they don't have lawyers in space (as far as we know mwahaha), guess the next best thing would be working for a space program, cause i think that'd make you happier than lawyering anyway. attornies make alot of money but they have to sacrifice part of that sense of fairness and i don't think you would like that, not one little bit.

Wow, Beth. Thank You so much! And before I am asked about My avatar, I will tell You.
Obviously the Pegasus is an indicator of the forum I am in. The "ae" as one letter (what do They call it?) is from My "real" name (My given name; My chosen is, of course, "Amaterasu Solar"), as it is two words, the first starting with "a" and the second starting with "e" but they are one word. The eye is Me looking right back at the eye of Horus, and the field of eyes is the field of Consciousness. Except for the Pegasus, I created every bit of the image Myself. Added the Peg when I joined.
Sure, I would love to handle a radio thing, or video, for that matter. I was told I was "a natural" by the studio People when I interviewed on InnerSight for public access. I am also notorious in places I have worked for being excruciatingly organized...got teased a lot at several jobs because My desk was ALWAYS neat and I knew where every single thing was. "A place for everything, and everything in its place," has long been one of My mottoes.

oh you need to create a thread on "how to organize your life." cause i'm the official poster child for disorganization i think. not on purpose, i just have a hard time remembering things due to the damage from the coma, to my short term memory. if you told me to make a list and follow it, i'd forget to look at the list unless i followed it enough days in a row that it became a habit. and someone would have to remind me every day until it became crystallized memory. my health interfers with some forms of organization too, such as deep cleaning the house.

Now that I look better at your avatar, is it me or is the eye upside down?

Check out his album wild and crazy guy, too...priceless.
Armap, your avatar is a favorite of mine, Im not a goth kid, but that episode has always stuck in my mind! And I love goth and black metal, so go figure!
All the folks here have great avatars, but I still vote for my #1 favorite...the cute otter waving hi!
You win Sky!
I also like Undo'a and Amy's, as they show a true "art at heart" member, who cares about their respective interests.
For me it was a nobrainer....Dad! Big Enki!
Happy Sunday to all!

Being a programmer, I shouldn't have all those papers in my desk (and on another small table that is there only for that purpose, to my left), but people insist in flooding me with papers, and the moment someone touches them I know that at least one will disappear. :)

Here's a plan: Write up the list and set an alarm that goes off daily. Put a sticky by the alarm with the reason it's been set (i.e., "Read the list"). As far as the deeper cleaning things... That's what kids are for - invite Them over if They've moved out! LOL! Really, don't know what One who has cleaning issues does but hope someOne offers help. Until recently, My ex did that stuff... Only thing He was good for.
This is what works for me regarding " To Do Lists"
I used to be the Grandmaster of " To Do lists"
Sometimes they would be two pages long! Front and back! Not kidding! I would spend every evening before I went to bed making them up....very detailed things because George and I were running a business, I was helping run my Dads office and lab at Bird Park and at this particular time I had a five year old that had all kinds of projects that were added to the list.... especially helping out with her local " Pony Club"....
And I was GOOD at accomplishing everything on those pages, believe it or not. I just ran across a whole book of those lists and now I just shake my head because I remember what it felt like.... the only gratification I got... it seemed... was the ability to strike that chore off my list! I began to feel like a machine, not a person. The list was beginning to take over my life. If it wasn't on my list.... I didn't do it until my list was done.... it ( whatever it was).... just would have to go on the NEXT list. Oh my......
Of course I am older.... we are not operating the business any more.... Jennifer has moved away in miles and years and has her own family. I keep horses and dogs but have no other responsibilities toward clubs or organizations.... its a different life.
Not any less busy though, trust me.
But regarding lists, Now I simply mark down what I HAVE Accomplished during the day. Its sort of the other way around.... instead of being demanding the list suddenly becomes a list of accomplishments.... its cool... it makes me feel good.... its just different.
So maybe I might suggest.... Leave your actions open to what you FEEL like doing during the day. You are a grownup.... you know what needs to be done... do it, or postpone it, up to you.... but what you do accomplish.... write it down. sometimes you will surprise yourself at how productive you are when you are the master of that list and not the slave to it. Just a thought.
Linda

Oh no, Undo, not google glasses!
I hope it doesnt bully my brain like it bullies my laptop.
Google loves to watch and record our every move and word, using their excellent spyware.
I keep google signed off whenver I do anything but check my email.
And that emf from a pair of goggles will be ok for a day or two, but look up the result from the tests and I bet you see a lot of headaches and sleeplessness among the testers. Thats if you can find anything bad about google on google!
Spyware for your brain...google!
