Hi bts! That is an interesting piece. Nothing the Israelis do surprises me! For many years, they have been doing almost the impossible, for what should be expected from such a small country!!!! And that "impossible" relates to many different areas of their lives, and technology. They are really a people to be respected, for their significant achievements, with so little to work with. The United States has been a big help to their needs!
I had the opportunity many years ago to spend 3 weeks in the Tel-aviv area. During that short time, I developed a high respect for the people I came in contact with there,and with the general public i watched around the city places. They are very family oriented, and show that very openly. Of course late Friday afternoon to late Saturday afternoon is their sabbath, and most stores are closed during that time.
Even in modern times there has been significant evidence of supernatural intervention for Israel, in several different military actions. No other explanation for certain for those experiences. The hand of God remains upon them, as they are his chosen people, and he will not forget them, in any situation!!!
They are very well prepared for whatever happens. And the people are always ready to do what needs to be done! Building an underground hospital is just another example of their readiness to be ready, for whatever!!
