A few years back I heard the best 4rth of July greeting ever.
It was from England and it read -
Dear Colonists,
All is forgiven.
Please come home.
;D
Sure we can all get together for a cup of tea, eh?
::)
Me answer to that Matey...

Tomorrow Ill be spiral cutting my weiner for sure, Sky! Good idea!
I want to wish you all a happy fourth of July, and remember the reason it is called independence day...really!:D
QuoteJ. Brady in "Clavis Calendarium" says the dog days were known as a time,
"when the seas boiled, wine turned sour, dogs grew mad, and all creatures became languid, causing to man burning fevers, hysterics, and phrensies."
This hot time was associated with hotheadedness, which this is why you're Sirius when you're Serious.
This is also the occult origin of the all American "hot dog." July 4th, America's Independence Day, just happens to be the 2nd of Sirius' dog days – an important date to the pre Masonic Knights Templar.
"It is the date of the Templar's massive defeat by Muslim armies in the Holy Land at the Horns of Hattin on 4 July AD 1187, which was followed by the loss of Jerusalem to Christendom.
There could therefore hardly be a more evocative 'Templar' or 'Solomonic' date than 4 July evocative, that is, of the aspiration to build Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem.
Damn, time for some fireworks, and spiral sliced weiners!LOL!:D
Cheers, all!

Ah yes..
I lived in vegas for 12 year Z..
loved all the fireworks there..
I have to work, thanks to staffing dept. incompetence. The time off was requested months in advance, follow-up was attempted with staffing, but was ignored. This is a company that specializes in caring for patients under EEOICP. Energy Employees Occupational Ilness Compensation Plan. Would you want your loved ones cared for by this company?

I lived there (Vegas) for nine - and the fireworks were the best thing about living there! (Spiritual as a cesspool, but the fireworks were great! LOL!)
Hey, y'all, just a quick happy fourth, and Im so proud of my sweety with her new HK 9mm semi auto.
Those cans didnt stand a chance!
Heres how we spent the daytime portion of the 4th!
Cheers, all!

If Your lady is aiming at the cans in the last shot???
Then it's some trick shot????
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZ3JTH77BtI
The practise may come in handy.
I love the line were the lady hopes they are bringing Elvis back.
I went to the re=enactment of the battle of Bennington in Vermont, the general told a comical tale about how America was won from the English.
The Brits had taken 30,000 conscripts over to fight for them...all big farmers boys from Germany.
All the girls on the farms were left alone when all the young men of the one big state of massachusetts went to Boston.
The girls liked the German boys, and the boys liked the girls.
Love conquered the Brits.
America was founded on love.

We love to love, too, Hobbit, but some days we need to make sure we are practiced and protected, and what better day to do so?!?!?:D
If the templars only had that kind of firepower, wed all be wearing this getup now!

The cans she was popping were 50 feet to the left of the frame, on a plywood stand.
Those silver canisters are my water filtration system attached to the well.LOL!:D
Needless to say after 6 clips of the HK 9, and 200 rounds through the AK, that stand is now mulch!
She hit 12 out of 20 on her first clip(19 rounds)and was pretty much right on all day!
What made me amazed even better was her accuracy with an open site AK-47, she hit that spinner target at 50 yards like a pro.
You know Im not for war and battle in any way shape or form, but we keep well protected from whatever danger comes about....Hey Linda can I hang out in the crows nest for a while?LOL!
I loved the campy dark humor from Ind Day and it was a favorite movie!
Cheers, Good Hobbit! And much love from my sweety and I!!!!

And what is wrong with wearing such 'getup' as you call it? You know in our opinion all you Mundanes are running around naked :o

And that Monty Python guy... he will pay for making fun of
Herne the Hunter(http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ROln4ISlwKo/TVKy2WbkNpI/AAAAAAAAHC4/gFrB5wFYQjA/s1600/rob_gal_herne1.jpg)
Getup? Poor choice of words, I meant magnificent example of wardrobery, perfect for shrubbery hunting! :)
If you saw the selection of renaissance clothing youd be proud of me zorgon!
My favorite is the knight who says ni though, and has been for years...the helmet is almost rotten and the robes are quite funky! :o
Too much spilled Guiness! :P
Hope your festivities were grand, we had a great night here!
Cheers!
Le!
I was going to mention the knights who say, "Ni!" First thing I thought of seeing that pic. But I had to leave before I could type something up...and Ya beat Me to it!
Where's that killer rabbit...?
great 4th of July
Went to our favorite little tavern a few blocks away hidden in a residential area. Giligan's Hideaway. Back in the day it was the closet bar to Nellis AFB. John tool me there the first time... we used to do lunch there. He told me it was a Black Ops hangout... now surrounded by the city,,,
Well he was right... it is. They hold meetings there still, with all the Regalia.
Anyway they had free burgers, hotdogs and fixings with a huge banana sunday with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries... quite a feast all free... :D
Then we went up the steet from our house, where one of the guys from the convention union lives. Him and his buddies buy tons of fireworks... the normal stuff for the kids yes, but also the really big stuff... the ones your technically not supposed to have :P
Two hours.. before they ran out... a little rivalry going on with the carpet layers a few doors up. Had to close off the street...
It attracted the police chopper and a car came by... he had to wait 5 minutes till that box of 4000 firecrackers was done :P Then he drove past the obvious mortars lined up came up to us (about 30 teamsters :P smiled and said "Happy 4th" and drove off..
Then they brought out the big stuff :D
Happy Fourth of July to all our American Members :D
Mmmmmmm, mortars!
Sounds like a blast, Zorgon, and to spend the day with some of Americas finest was an honor, Im sure!
I do love those mortars, and we didnt disappoint the neigbors, as they rang true for an hout or so!:-)
Gilligans hideaway sounds like a cool place to meet some cool folks, and of course do a bit of recon for Pegasus' future threads!
Someday were going to get all medieval together, and paint the town in our chain mail! With beer and pizza...of course!
Glad the fourth was fun for ya'!
