Oh No, I must be old too. I remember both of these coming out and getting the 45's. Huh, as the young ones say, what is a 45, a gun? I still have several hundred 45s around somewhere. About 10 years ago I did put them to CD and I have the CDs here and play them in my truck.
Ya really want to freak someone out in a place like this. Copy a tape of a local USA radio station that they might know. Put it to Cd. When here, Start the radio up to a Chinese station and then make believe you changed the station but start the CD up. Most people just sit there and listen like it is normal. News and everything. They will not put 2 and 2 together for quite some time, maybe never. One guy asked me if I had a special radio in my truck that could pick up the states. I said yes, it was very expensive to add but worth it.
So I have a bunch of Cds, full of 45 records playing in Ch1na. Rock and Roll Sky..........Deuem
The Kinks are one of my favourite bands, and the one I think is the most forgotten of the bands that were a real influence in the music world.
I feel rather out of touch. I don't know if I've ever actually heard Kinks music. I started listening to country at the end of high school. Class of 74 for anyone who wants to know. I have my car radio tuned to an oldies station now. Last week my grandson said the Neil Young song on the radio sounded kind of country. I had to educate him.
