so far, I've got binoculars 8x42 (i think), a night vision monocular (non-military grade), a stupid hundred dollar telescope (all i can see r clearer images of non- moving stuff in sky) and a 12 pixel infrared camera w 5x zoom.
how can i see more and better stuff? the generation X (or whatever, forgot the exact name) military night vision goggles r too pricey for a beginner.
even with the stuff i have, including use of my naked eyes (lol), ive seen some stuff that's so AMAZING, it's caused me goose bumps while experiencing.
Hi mate,
Check Lou on his channel on youtube ;)
He is quite honest and will post a video explaining how he got it wrong.. which is Rare ;)

Need to ask him if he would like to join us, as he is very astute and lives not far from me "Suburb" wise. I know what planes look like here in his field of view ;)
EDIT Spelling (ban me for the web please)
The best sector to look up into is an area involving about 30° around the "Zenith",
when the Earths Shadow in in this sector. This then excludes anything reflecting the suns Light.
So this leaves only objects emitting their own Light.
Most satellites are Not seen in this area unless they are emitting their own Light.
Because of the make up of your/our Reality "Transport Interfaces" enter our airspace
in or about the "Zenith" of our Experience. This Involves the "Workings" of our so called reality.
Try recording activity around the "Zenith" during the time the Earth's shadow in the "Zenith".
Remember the Earth's Shadow extends way beyond the Moon so look between 10 pm and 1 am
on a clear moonless night to get the best results.
You will be amazed at the Activity you will see on some Nights in the area of the "Zenith".
Most people never look into this "Sector".
As for information regarding Filming, sorry I am Not much help in this area.
But I suspect if a long exposure is used perhaps all the activity may be recorded as lines
straight, zigzagged or curved or whatever.
This would be a good Telescope to observe closer with a camera mounted using a long exposure setting.

They are an excellent light gatherer.
So far, variance, I'd say your utilizing the most important piece of skywatching equipment. Yourself. The rest of it is bells and whistles, albeit very useful bells and whistles. I've seen some interesting things looking at the zenith. I'm familiar by now with the local aircraft from DIA and Buckley. Some of the sightings didn't fit that category. Especially the ones that seem to be looking right back at me.

Nothing to see here - move along >:(
Eradicator
I've lived in Denver too long. When anyone mentions Los Tres Amigos I think of Ricky Natteil, Vance Johnson and Mark Jackson. And I don't even care about football. Hockey, on the other hand, the Avs have a new young captain. Maybe the team is actually going to get together again this year.
Eradicator, if you plan to spill much blood, I recommend good ventilation. Excessive blood in a small confined space is just nasty.
