A good friend of mine who also is an investigator, (assisted behind the scenes on locating and interviewing several of the Roswell witnesses) has been called "the ufo nut" by his father for ages, who is a pragmatic salt of the earth old school type of guy, and thinks his son is a fool for wasting his time on such matters.
Then, not long ago, things changed overnight.
He was preparing for bed about 1 am, and was in the bathroom when he noticed an odd flickering of light coming from the window, which he could not see the source of from that vantage.
He knew the next door neighbors were on vacation, and had left their teenagers home alone in charge of the house. Fearing that they had caught the house on fire, he raced down the stairs and outside into the yard.
When he got past his house and turned to see theirs, his life changed in a heartbeat.
There, "silently hovering about 50 feet over their house, was a silvery disc, projecting various colored beams down on the house, flickering and moving around".
His son interrupted at this point and asked "Oh **** did you get a picture??". His father replied "Hell NO I didn't get a picture, I was too busy ******** down both pant legs!!"

The craft hovered motionless for about 30 seconds there, then the beams of light went out and it fairly slowly drifted off silently (at the same height) out of the (residential) neighborhood.
He was left shaken and not knowing what to do. He went back in his house and called the police, who told him to sleep it off, and when he got mad, they told him to call the airport.
The airport told him they do not handle such matters.
The local airbase told him they do not investigate such matters, perhaps a local UFO group could help him.
He was ready to go postal at that point, but after calming down for a minute and thinking, he realized "Ah HAH!, call my son!!"
Which he did, and after relating what he saw, he lowered his voice and apologized to his son for all the years of abuse, and for not believing him as a son.
His son just replied "welcome to the club."
The next day the father canvassed the neighborhood (big ufo investigator now lol) looking for anyone else who might have seen this amazing sight.
Turned out an elderly woman across the street also saw the same thing he did, and down the block 2 different houses saw the craft leaving the neighborhood.
Oh and the kids next door?.... turned out they were there, and slept through the whole thing.
Anyway, besides being a great sighting, I like how it shows that it is just matter of perspective, not a belief in UFO's.
(I mentioned both of the following sightings in my introduction, but will attempt to expand on them here.)

My 2nd devastating sighting came by design, not by accident.
I use that description once again because I suddenly realized that what I was seeing made me standing -in the middle- of the biggest hornet's nest in history, dodging security for the most top secret project in history. (Now I suddenly realized why they were authorized to use deadly force!)
In 1989, being 'in the loop' as it were, shortly after being broadcast on the TV evening news in Nevada, I received a copy of George Knapp's - UFO's The Best Evidence, in which Bob Lazar first spilled the beans about S4.
Not only did he provide video of these tests, he said these tests could be viewed from public BLM land.
A quick check with my contacts in the field said this appears to be the real deal... AND, it appears for the moment to be ongoing despite the leak.
Due to professional commitments, I was unable to personally investigate right then, so instead sent others to investigate. They reported back that every word was true, but you had to be extremely careful trying to get a look.
An opening in my schedule finally allowed me to go have a look for myself.
To my amazement, I discovered Bob Lazar and John Lear had told the absolute truth. Right when and where they said they would be, were craft that were -without a doubt- obviously extremely advanced alien technology being test flown.
They were capable of all the same speeds and maneuvers seen in my first sighting, but by contrast these guys didn't appear to know what these things were capable of or how they worked, and were tentatively trying out new maneuvers one at a time (with spectacular breathtaking results each time!)
I managed to evade and outrun security to film and witness these tests and escape with the evidence. (Hi guys, yeah it's me! :P )

Zorgon has seen (and already archived lol) private screenings of excerpts of part 2.
One identifying marker of these craft shown both in Lazar's home footage and mine, is when at times the craft appear to 'sparkle'. When examined frame by frame, they are actually strobing at 1/16th of a second as evidenced by going on and off every other frame.
After escaping with my evidence -and- my hide, I went into semi- retirement as an investigator, I mean what else was there to know? I had finally managed to peek behind the curtain.
The Roswell investigation I was assisting was just icing on the cake at that point. A few others were returning from Area 51 with footage also now, the Col. Corso book came out, and all these other milestones in UFOlogy were now appearing in the 90's and hardly phased me, after all I had learned and seen up till then.
I thought well it's all over now, the cover- up is done for and rapidly crumbling to it's foundations.

You know the tape Bob and Gene made of the craft zig zagging across the sky I think Bob has the only copy I got in contact with George Knapp he lost his copy which was actually John Lears copy and also the Element 115 test George lost that also when he moved John Lear can verify this.
I asked George several times and he first he said I moved I have to look then it. Then finally he said he lost it. I mean you have to be kidding me so I managed to find most of the flight footage on a UFO program hosted by Stanton Friedman which is ironic.

Yep at 7:05 that is the footage George Knapp broadcast during his week long special 'UFOs - The Best Evidence', and you can hear Bob and Gene making comments.
Interesting it was included Friedman's special who does not believe Lazar. Go figure lol.
That footage is included in part 2 that I am currently editing and putting together, along with footage from a few others who managed to sneak out there and record some tests, and of course the footage that I recorded.
Yes i found it so controdictial that Stanton Friedman hosts and talks about the Lazar trip in this video after all Stanton is his largest critic thoughout the years. Between that and some other things Friedman has done hes lost alot of credibility in my opinion. And this name The Elderstatesman of Ufology just who named him that ?? Probably Stanton himself.
I sent this video to John Lear a year or so ago when he was on OMF because knowone had any copies available of that trip where the Disc was filmed and whatever it is its skipping across the sky just as Kenneth Arnold said back in June of 1956.
Whenever you hear one say well Stanton Friedman debunked Bob all one has to do is present this video and then say "Who persuaded Friedman to change his mind?" I think Friedman may be disinfo not totally sure I wish I had my old computer all my files are on their. I have to transfer everything over and theres tons of UFO files and info on Friedman which made me suspect bigtime.
To me it seems that Friedman once had to believe Bob or he would not had put him in the Footage in the documentary.
@Area51Watcher I have never really heard much abouyt Gene Huff other then he is a real estate appraisert and Bobs best friend. Do you have any info on Gene he's very loyal to Lazar and he is the medium between Lazar and Lear.
