Title: Twitter Users Make Joke Out of #MuslimRage, Newsweek Cover

Newsweek Muslim Rage

Headlines?
Overly Sensational? Yes I would say so.

Of course, its Newsweek so I dont know that we could
have expected any better from them.

However, I must say I do like the spirit of fun, I must
say that Muslims take themselves way too seriously.

QuoteMinutes after Newsweek tweeted its upcoming "Muslim Rage" cover, the #MuslimRage Twitter hashtag was flooded with lighthearted jokes about Muslim life.

Newsweek's story by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, entitled "Muslim Rage: How I Survived It, How We Can End It," in part examines the passionate and occasionally violent protests over a controversial anti-Islam YouTube video that have been spreading throughout Muslim communities. Many of the #MuslimRage tweets were subversive in nature, responding to what many consider to be an overly sensationalist cover story.

Not to mention being a woman, I want nothing to do with
people such as this. Sadly, while many Islamics try and distance
themselves from the murdurous mobs, and hate filled killings
they do nothing to put an end to the vicious hate.

For me personally, when a religion seeks to restrict thoughts, ideas, speech, when it actually embraces war (jihad) as an acceptable act, when it discourages critical thinking and teaches you what to think, when it purposefully seeks to divide people into "us vs. them" mentality... I no longer see much worth to it, it has simply become socially damaging.  Spiritually damaging.  It is more of a cult of control than a path to enlightenment and spiritual freedom.

In my travels around the world I have met some absolutely wonderful Muslims.  As kind hearted and giving as is possible.  I wish they would step up and speak out with the same intensity as the mobs we see screaming for death and destruction.
