Ungrateful cat runs away after couple spend $9,500 on rescuing it
This is a tale of typical feline gratitude. U.K. couple Railton and Dawn Elliott fell for Omar the homeless cat while on vacation in Egypt. With the country in the grip of revolution, the couple decided to rescue their new furry friend. After flying to England, Omar was in quarantine for six months and the Elliotts made the 150-mile return trip to visit him three times a week. The couple estimate the total cost of adopting Omar at more than $9,500, which they don't regret, but now Omar has run away from home. The well-travelled animal disappeared almost a year to the day after he left quarantine. Dawn said, "We're absolutely heartbroken." Here's hoping they find their fickle feline A-OK. had a cat like that once..she would visit vechicles while the humans were in buying mushrooms
one night when the spawn truck was making a delivery she visited his truck..he knew it and took her home with him anyway
one year to the day later i got a call at 11:30 pm from him..took several minutes of discussion to figure out what he was talking about as his first words were.."I think i have your cat"
long story short..he returned her with the next delivery..lol
he didn't know we called her 'furtile mertle' hahahaah.. she had 5 liters while there and he had run out of friends....
I was finally able to rent a trap and retrieve my escapee. She should be presenting us with grandkittens any day now. Finances and work schedules have made it difficult to get all the girls spayed in a timely manner. Obviously, that needs to be remedied. Up until the day the door didn't close properly, we managed by keeping them inside. At least she's in now, and safe. Still a bit skittish after her month in the great outdoors.

Last night my cat Eddie, my avatar picture, was holding post under a lounge chair.
Mmmh, he only ever does that if something is under there I thought.
So I played along and said, get it Eddie, go on get it. Next thing a baby mouse comes barrelling out from under the lounge chair and Eddie chases after it and puts his paw on it, then throws it in the air and starts playing. All while my heart stopped. I dont have mice, then I remembered something sticking out of his mouth when he came in 20 minutes ago.
He has brought in large birds in his mouth and then proceeds to play with them while I tell him off. Take that bloody thing out, go on, get it out I say.
Poor little mouse naturally was terrified, hid there, hid everywhere with Ed stalking.
Finally the mouse got outside himself with Ed on its trail. Next thing in comes Ed with it in his mouth again. Get that darn thing out, go get it outside I say to no avail.
This went on for another 20 minutes and finally the poor thing finally got out..................now leave it out there I said.
Half an hour later Ed is in with it in its mouth only this time the mouse has passed on. What did Ed do which I have never actually seen a cat do before my eyes, he sat down and ate the whole bloody mouse, tail and all. :o
Now that cat gets the best food, he is very fussy and only eats expensive grain free dry food and some types of Dine, but no he ate the darn thing.
That's the last time I kiss you I told him.

That shows that he recycles. ;)
They are predators, even the cutest.
Grimalkin left a dead mouse in the hall for me one day. This is the cat that doesn't like people. But he's leaving me gifts.
