Title: A Video you may not have seen regarding Aphids
Post by: Somamech on October 21, 2012, 06:26:21 PM
I've never had a problem with these sap suckers until I moved into my current rental.  I've lost some plants due to the little suckers that I missed and that not make me happy.

The problem is that I can use Organic means to control them and I can remove them from living plant matter but they keep coming back.  The Keep Coming Back Matter has had me perplexed. as most garden advice deals with the infestation and i would rather hunt the soucre seeing the Lovely Lady Birds are Lacking in my garden.

This snippet is from a very expensive DVD I just discovered tonight which explains to me slightly WHY that happens.   :o

Any Thoughts and personal experience would be quite appreciated for all growers as Aphids suck... quite literally  >:(

For the Sci=Fi lovers... it really doesnt help that I watched this two part episode pf Voyager last night regarding Species 8472  ;D

Species 8472

QuoteSpecies 8472 is a fictional extraterrestrial race in the science fiction television series Star Trek: Voyager. They inhabit another dimension called fluidic space. These beings are rendered by animation from Foundation Imaging, Inc. The multiplayer game Star Trek Online gives their proper name as Undine

I have found a place I can buy Ladybirds here in oz along with lace wings, but they are expensive and from what I read about purchasing then off the web they offer little gauruantee sadly depending on how people ship bugs, as they have short life cycles.

Biz idea to anyone in Peggy... Breed Lady Bugs and teach how...that is an in demand area as I don't know how to do it as a home gardener mulling the idea of providing them for others.

I have also found a really interesting product Via Alien John on his growingyourgreens youtube channel called Insect Frass.  I would love to buy that here in Oz but the very thought of getting that through custums in Oz makes me sweat  ;D

Dish soap???  I have tried in a mega grey bug formation...

In a mega "Aphid King we hit pay dirt"  it didnt work so well becaeuse the plant was nearly dead.
