Post by: sky otter on October 29, 2012, 06:25:33 PM

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/

if you want maps and weather stuff go here
http://www.weather.com/

we've had three days of light to med rain and dark and dreary skies
the forecast is not good even though we are over 300 miles inland
i've gotten everything tired down for 90 mph gusts..well as best as possible
and i will soon  be pulling some plugs in case the power goes out
thinking of it all as a test
so
wavin at cha all
and
see ya on the other side of this..

if anyone wants to do some works..
send energy (or whatever you would like to call it)
to mitigate the disaster

Hey sky! We will be thinking about you, and we certainly do hope the best for you and your family!! Good preparation is the best you can do for a situation like this, and you already are doing/have done that!!

The only better thing, would be far enough away to not personally be in the storm - maybe like in Texas!  ;D

And here is something for you and your family too!   (http://www.thelivingmoon.com/43ancients/04images/Bluebird/waves.gif)

TTA (Haarp) caught in action.  No doubt about it now, this lady shows you how haarp is manipulating the storm.

I mean give us a break would something like this move naturally, I dont bloody think so.  Type to kill tptw.

I'm sorry but I don't see any sonic undulation nor narry a chem trail. Normally when a storm goes over land it slows down and weakens so when it hit Cuba? It slowed down and when it got back over water it got stronger and sped up. Nothing unusual at all. Looking for something that isn't there IMHO. Kind of like looking a for anomalies on the moon. Sometimes a rock is just a rock. Lolol

when i was a cocoa beach twenty five years ago,the water current was cold and ran north to south, has that changed?how does arctic cold water spurn a hurricane?

So they're aren't ocean storms during the winter? I think so.

Don't know if anyone recalls an article published a year or two ago about magnetic pole drift.  (there is a lot of this out there but a physorg link will do me for now )

Movement of North Magnetic Pole is accelerating

QuoteAfter some 400 years of relative stability, Earth's North Magnetic Pole has moved nearly 1,100 kilometers out into the Arctic Ocean during the last century and at its present rate could move from northern Canada to Siberia within the next half-century. If that happens, Alaska may be in danger of losing one of its most stunning natural phenomena – the Northern Lights.

So hey I recall reading somewhere a year or so ago some article about how the "jetstreams" were becoming screwed up.

Here's a page linking to an animation of current weather!

The storm Could also be the work of the bastard sons born to Wilhelm Reich  :o  ;D

"
The gulf stream runs past Coco beach flowing north , the hurricane followed this trail of   "Warm "   water until  it ran into a blocking high with clockwise rotation which steered it into New Jersey.

but I recall this being said...

Neither Rain nor Sleet nor Skags - The mail must arrive on time

And today the post office has announced there will be DELAYS in the mail due to a storm   :o

So yeah  its officially the END OF THE WORLD  :P

Be safe everyone... hold on to a strong post :D

as the recipient of many a hurricane, tropical storm, tropical depression oh yes and a few typhoons (Army stationed in Okinawa)..I have to shake my head at the sheer craziness the media has made of a small hurricane (downgraded to a tropical storm as it hit land). It was if the world was coming to an end, and to listen to the media go ape crap about this storm. They're still calling it Super Storm Sandy!...
Now don't get me wrong, i wish this on no one, no matter how strong it is..It's just not a lot of fun. But come on people.... ::)

I know, they act like it's the worst ever... it reminds me of a newscast many years ago where a young reporter was doing a newscast from a small boat in the middle of flooded streets; then this guy walks buy next to the boat revealing the truth, it was only a few inches deep. LOL, she made it sound like it was ten feet deep then the screen fills up with some guys legs in rain boots... LOL!

Just seeing reports on the TV in NZ the day after...

1st; My heart goes out to them that have suffered. Especially for those who have lost
their love ones and homes.

We have storms in NZ creating Chaos, but that "Tidal Surge" sure looks nasty !   :(

It may have been a category 1 but that means nothing really.

Its the casualties and collective damage which matters.  :(

I have experienced Winds up to 220 Km/h in NZ, but fortunately there were no fires.

We have only small tornadoes in NZ, but we do get the occasional cyclone,
but nowhere as large (in area) as Sandy nor as low readings as Sandy.

I just hope this disaster is NOT made into Political gains or losses!

I think the real concern with Sandy was its potential to mess up Snooki's hair.

I remember the year my daughter and I went to Seattle shortly after it was hit with a tornado; F0.  People there were still freaking out.  We get F4s and the occasional F5 around here.  We didn't really understand the fuss in Seattle.  It's a matter of perspective.

I need to bully my hubby into calling his bro tonight.  Bryon and family live in WestChester, PA.

Sky, glad your still in one furry piece.  HUGS!!

thanks Shasta...head butt

it's still raining here though..sigh..but no complaints..it could be soooo much worse

hey..have you ever gotten to Longwood Gardens  out there by westchester?
300 acres of some awesome plants and stuff..
lots of mushrooms places also nearby (Kennet Square) and Winterthur (1000 acres of an old dupont estate...the gardens are awesome and the Brandywine art musuesms (Wyeth's)
ahhhhhh i do luv this state..hope they are all ok too

hope the b-i-l  is ok

The last time I was in PA was 1967.   Bryon and family make it out here sometimes, but we tend to stay put.  Those gardens sound fascinating.  Might have to get out that way just for that.  I'm thinking Bryon and family are probably okay.  I'm sure we would have heard from Brenda, the sis here in town, otherwise.

I have remember that advice to duck.  My daughter has a low-flyinf chandelier in her dining area.  Ugliiest thing in the world.  I keep trying to break it with my head.

Is Obama Using HAARP to Get Re-Elected?

Here is a video from Alex Jones suggesting that Hurricane Sandy may have been artificially created  to aid Obama to win the Election...

This so that Obama can be seen to be reacting to a major crisis just before the election date and Romney can do little campaigning...

Possibly; I guess he will do anything to get another term, as he is only human too.
Anyone else would do what they could as well...

im on the side of haarp doing it.
talk about stimulating the economy.
new york will come out on top with infrastructure updates and upgrades.
all paid probably with leftover stimulas money.
qe3 new york,new jersey.
while drought victims and new orleans get nothing and a small boom to the economy regionally.
all the insurance money pouring in.
i think the correct term in this matter is cannabalism.

???

has anyone given any consideration to the thought that
katrina and sandy,  and some of the others that have done major damage
to the comfort level of humans
is just a nudge by the universe
to
move..
make provision
think about stuff

i mean for cryin out loud ..what does it take to get your attention..!!!

what does it take to get you to consider what you will and do need
it really isn't electrical power and cell phones

but it might be warm stuff and friends

oh never mind..stay tuned to the multiple screens in your life for updates

Actually I have SkyOtter an that's a very valid thought. We went nuttso here prepping for up to 2 weeks without electricity or heat , rounding up 30 days worth of meds and cleaning gutters , plus a quicky install of the woodburner just in case.

The storm boiled down to ''did we do enough'' in case family or friends needed to bunk with us ?
;)

On Reelz TV the series ''World Without End'' has been playing along with another show on medieval life an the day to day necessities.
So your thought has been weighing heavily lately here.

WOW  :o No electricity or cell phones?  That WOULD be the end of the world... I mean imagine NO MORE TEXTING

Quotebut it might be warm stuff and friends

I haz ferrets  they are warm and fuzzy. I also haz an 8ft high wall around the place to keep out those who didn't prepare :P

Quoteoh never mind..stay tuned to the multiple screens in your life for updates

Most people that live in apartments in big cities have little opportunity to prepare. No storage space to stock up, no transport in many cases to escape and even if they do in an evacuation situation they would end up in grid lock with 1/2 tank of gas at best

I have a wood stove, all my medieval goodies like lanterns and even a loom. We have several years of firewood cut, a 35,000 gallon pool that would serve as a reservoir in a pinch and a years worth of food in the pantry

But if friends and family started pounding on the door, guess how long THAT would last?

Best thing to do to prepare is move NOW to a place that is more secure  BEFORE the SHTF

But even then, Halloween night there was a drive by shooting at the house across the street... a rental that has gang members living in it. If the SHTF here in Vegas... how long before a group like that sees my lights on when everyone else is dark and comes to shoot me for my stash?

Oh yeah  that is why I stocked up on bullets for the machine guns too :P and there is a sword on every wall :D

Guys and their toys. Zorgon ? You did write machine gun"S" as in more than one. Rambo, move over......

And I also wonder how Haarp started the 1938 hurricane that was even worse than this one. Mother Nature is still the strongest power on the planet. When she gets pissed, watch out!

Deuem, no storms in sight today.
Wish all of you luck. My family also got hit there but just had the power taken out for 3 days.
Everything is OK.

what i was trying to point out is if your area has been hit repeatedly you really need to think about  getting the  heck outta there..cause after  enough hits there won't be a rescue effort
cause there will be no money and folks occupied with their own problems
the red cross is beggin right now...

yeah Z.. i ain't movin either..so i here ya.. i'm in as safe an area as there is..and i've worked at
being as ready as i can...
the only thing i never thought of was  getting older and having some physical stuff going on..
that bites..
sorry for the rant
but i get cross eyed and ornery when folks go on about  the earth changes as political or man made...we are really past the point where that matters
sigh
