For the younger crowd, "tennies" are what Us old folk used to call tennis shoes. You younger Ones may also not know of the Elephant Joke. That was something older Ones, too, will remember.
So... Why to elephants wear tennies?
Give up?
Wait for it...
Because 9E's are too little and 11E's are too big.
(((rim shot...ba DOOP!!))) tough crowd here 8) ;D
It's nice to see a G-rated joke.

Funny, Amy!!
Like a bazooka Joe wrapper..without the icky gum! ;)
Hey! That gum was my favorite when I was a kid. 2 cents a piece from the ice cream truck in the summer. Cheryll and I used to wait for the truck to come around when we weren't busy messing up freshly poured sidewalks.

Mine too. we'd throw the gum away and read the jokes over and over again!LOL!
Oh and those red white and blue astropops! MMMmmmm!
Oh yeah, Bombpops. Shaped vaguely like a bomb. Remember candy cigarettes and bubblegum cigars? Those were the days. If I'd stuck to candy cigarettes I never would have gone through nicotine withdrawal when I quit smoking. At least I don't have lung cancer. The cxr in July just showed pneumonia. Other than that, my lungs looked good.

Tops Baseball cards with a "Flat" square of Bubble Gum and a comic.
10 then 12 then 15 cent comic books, Gramps was pissed when they raised the price to a quarter..
Wish I kept some of those comics...
Why do elephants paint their toenails red?
Give up?
So they can hide in cherry trees.
Ever seen an elephant in a cherry tree?
Works pretty well, doesn't it?
I wish I had some my old comics. My brother had a #1 Amazing Spiderman. At some point my mom took all of our comics and gave them to our younger cousins. She decided we had outgrown them.
Elephants hiding in cherry trees. I must make a mental note to be especially careful when walking under a cherry tree. I don't think even one of John's tinfoil hats would fare well in the event of airborne elephant poop.

I "burned" my collection, in a fit of adolescent angst...Several vintage number 1 issues, although I thought them worthless at the time. Also put a Mickey Mantle rookie card on my bicycle spokes..Who knew...I just wanted the gum.
Why do elephants have wrinkles?
Ever tried to iron an elephant?
Andy
I like Your elephant joke! LOL! I gave Ya gold!
