Title: Men's Shed's
Post by: Somamech on November 26, 2012, 06:25:06 PM
I love this concept of men getting together for Goat Killings and live blood swigging.. nothing better than a swig from a prime goat whilst being around men LOL

TSK TSK

I do Kid ;)

In all seriousness my letterbox had a flyer paid for by the Melbourne City Council last week asking for suggestion's before they open a Melbourne Men's Shed.  I was over the Moon like John Lear hearing that as I love THIS CONCEPT

QuoteMen's sheds are now established as part of the health infrastructure that supports programs to improve men's health and well being.

The focus of Mensheds Australia is on building the sustainability of men's sheds. We believe that the sustainable shed will have assured financial resources and that their own commercial activities will be an important element. Men's sheds are a social enterprise that create value and that value should form the basis of assured revenue from those that benefit from shed activities.

Why are these places important ?

I took a quick trip on Saturday to visit my 92 yo grandma in hospital... Yep my closest family mate is 92 years old and a damn fine person to talk to.  Where else can i share a good laugh without it being pretentious, learn about life before electricity in harsh Australian conditions and eat cake after the discussion of said facts ?

Men sheds :P

Women of the Era had Craft meet-ups where they knew how to knit or stitch anything (or passed it on), and most likely had a good whinge about the Men and went home all the more happy for it LOL

We need more Local Sheds for Local People  8)

What does a woman do if She is more interested in the stuff the men do - HATES knitting and sewing...
