Title: Comic-Con New Orleans 2012
Post by: Sgt.Rocknroll on December 03, 2012, 11:14:38 PM
Went to Comic-con here in N.O. on Sunday. I wore my special Spider-Man Print shirt my wife bought me several years ago. My son and I were walking through the guest gallery, there was the cast from Star-Trek the Next Generation, The Boondock Saints, Michael Rooker from Walking Dead and Michael Madsen, "Mr. Blonde" from Reservoir Dogs.

A large black man approached me and said, " Sir would you kindly tell me where you bought that shirt?" "Mr. Madsen really likes it and would you like to meet him?" I said sure, Well I introduced my self and we shook hands and then he proceeds to tell me how much he really, really likes my shirt. He wanted to know where I bought it and did it come in a long sleeve version. I told him where I think my wife bought it and didn't really know if it came in a long sleeve version or not. Then he says, "if you can find another shirt around here, I'll give you $50.00 bucks for your shirt right now." Well I proceed to tell him I couldn't part with it cause I haven't seen another one like it. I told him I'd let him know. The whole episode was very surreal. I keep hearing 'Stuck in the middle with you' the entire time. Anyway here's the proof:

Very cool Sgt.!! I have never attended a 'Comic-Con' and hear it is quite fun and the event of a life time for the Sci-Fi oriented. May have too put that on my bucket list.
As for the shirt, "Yes" very unusual, but can see how it drew attention for where you are at. Have too give your wifey an extra big hug for it!!
I have met a few 'Famous' people in my time as well, the surreal feeling is a part of the moment I think. I call it being 'Star Struck' but was surreal none the less.
Thanks for sharing your great story, I am sure you had a great time especially this time huh? ;)

I've been collecting comics since 1962, when I was 12 and that's the first time I've been to Comic-con. It was a lot of fun!

Lolol! Yes both ears! He's really not that big as you'd think seeing him on screen. 5'10" 175lbs. Wirey. Very cool dude to talk to!
