Although I don't have a Book I did swing by and checked out your book along with your homepage :)
After checking your book I thought huh... why so many Taiwanese connections ? only ask as my wifey is Taiwanese ;D
One idea I did have to maybe get more exposure for you music is to have it used under creative commons or something like that.
I watch quite a few videos on pinkbike.com and I've seen more than a few video producers sorta mention they use this one song due to it being free to use and works well for mountain bike vids. Due to pinkbike being a very large site producers can't get away using metallica (for a bad example lol) as they will face the Wrath of the ORI. The producers always make sure to Give the Artist a plug in the Credits and people who comment on the video (consumer) quite often ask what the song is!

This video could have been made a bit better by the use of a song which didnt include the lyrics "Summertime Sadness...", but like anything an opinion is very subjective ;)

With adsense I earn some money. But that are commercials 8) I have sold my soul....
Next stop the music itself. haha Thats the main idea. Every way of getting some recognition helps with the process. So there also facebook pops in. One of the ideas.

the fastest way to get famous is last call with carson daly.
i saw liki li last year ,theres a comercial out now using their music in the background.
find a band member thats a badass artist and incorporate it into your music.ie tool.
get a manager that will get u lots of gigs.
only do gigs in the thriving parts of the country.
get a sponsor like frito or smaller.for travel expense or whatever.
enjoy living on a bus.
