Having fought for my country and killed for my country I hope that my personal view on this is one that is based on truth more than subjective feelings. I too see the similarity in the situation back then, and what we face today. I am bound by an oath to refrain from voicing specific feelings but nobody could hold it against me to praise the acts of those who fight tyranny in the name of freedom and truth. Have you read the many statements of our founding fathers, and what they hoped this nation would become and what we would avoid? They made provisions for us, in the constitution, so that we would be able to resist tyranny. Look at who are eager and ready to give those freedoms up. Fools of this country overflow. They overflow and drown out the voices of truth and honesty. Only if we let them.
There are countless conspiracies involving every historical step this nation has taken but the truth remains, Americans exist who hold the values we were founded upon sacred. There will always be those who are ready to fight, for our future, and for the hope that those values endure. Those values can never be taken from us, unless we choose to give them up. I refuse to relinquish what I have fought for. Many others feel this way also.
