Its very hard to find something to Quote in this article as it raise's many questions, and the Journo has once again interjected from reporting what they know with a sprinkling of their astute know all.
QuotePolice received the first call from the men at 2.25am on Friday, saying they had been in an accident at Split Yard Creek and asked for the RAAF to attend.
It later became apparent the car had gone off the road and down an embankment near the Split Yard Creek bridge.
The phone call dropped out, and after 30 minutes of trying to contact the men, police received a call from RACQ Insurance.
So they called Insurance and Police, yet asked the police to Send the Air-Force :o
QuotePolice said the conversations with the men were vague and at times barely understandable.
The men began to ''freak out'', telling the insurance company they were about to disappear and referred to the area as the Bermuda Triangle, police said.
Not sure whether the Journo is saying the Police were on the end of these conversations or the Insurance company ::)
QuotePolice called the men back, with the second male answering the phone, telling police there were ''some really weird things going on'' and they had abandoned the car.
So they were answering the Phone Call of the Cop's according to the Cop's :O
QuotePolice received another call from the men at 4am, claiming that ''something paranormal'' had occurred and ''big bright lights'' caused the car accident.
They called the Cops AGAIN :O
Its gets even more odd... The Cops go and out and find the two men, and then more oddness ensures... And OFC the driver was Drunk LOL Now if i was drunk in my hay days of youth driving a car which happened all too often mind you that the cops were not someone I would call drunk, unless I had a good reason... like injuring other people. I have crashed drunk but I didn't hurt anyone and my car still worked.
QuotePolice found the men at 4.10am at the intersection of Wivenhoe-Somerset and Hyne roads. They were armed with knives and appeared to be protecting themselves.
The men became aggressive, claiming ''there were more of them around''.
The car's driver was breathalysed. He was over the limit and given a notice to appear in court.
One of the men was charged with assaulting a police officer.

A really Odd story to say the least :o ;D
Cheers

If they were on any drugs and fabricated the Story and were that Brazen, it would have to be Ice/Speed or Coke mixed with a hallucinogen, along with being Drunk. IF that was the case they make Lance Armstrong look like a wimp LOL
But what if they were telling the truth? :o ;D
Having spent some time as a misguided youth many years ago the freaking last thing I would have wanted is any involvement with authority when I knew it would screw me up.
Well, if there was 'Columbian Icing sugar' involved, it tends to make the user extremely paranoid, & in most cases violent.
Similar to alcohol in most males, but far more intense....
It would help if there was a follow-up interview or official police report ::)
Split Yard Creek?
I take it from the RACQ, that it was in Queensland.
Anywhere near Amberley RAAF Base? I mean those F-111's look a lot like saucers ;D
Just a theory ;D

It is an Odd story!
I would also love to know the whole context of the Story! Rather than it being published as a fluff piece to mock UFO peeps once again !
Yeah Starwarp it was in QLD :D
Oddly though, what in the hell were the Clinton Family doing up there whilst 911 was happening?
No way in all trying to piece together a tale, but at the same time there is always little things that make me go hmm.. what if it did happen. And lets face a simple fact, It was the Mil who made a big deal out of what substance's people took to whether they are credible... Stanton Firedman sure does anyway :D

Me too!
The one thing that really bugs me, is that i've NEVER seen a UFO or an alien.
I know they exist, just by logic & the amount of evidence there is.
Yes i have taken certain drugs in my teens & i had hallucinations from them, but no UFO's ....I guess that one really sees what one sees, in the end ???
Thanks for the report Soma!! ;)
Too me, there are way too many holes left in the story. No further interviewing or explanation. Does seem odd none the less, I too would have avoided calling the PO PO while knowing I was under the influence.
We need more of the story to validate it's authenticity. Would like to talk to these guy's myself, either really good medications or really happened, either way, it is one or the other , no doubt.
