Recently here in Oz a TV advert has been censored from being able to air in prime time viewing hours due to innuendo. For anyone not familiar to Australia it would take quite a bit to explain Who Dick Smith is and his past LOL

This is the uncensored version of the Dick Smith Foods' Australia Day Ad that can't be shown on Australian TV.
According to Free TV's Commercial Advice division, this ad is unsuitable for broadcast during normal television viewing hours due to the high levels of "innuendo".

Not really. Dick's an entrepreneur who originally got started with a chain of electronics/hobbyist/parts shops (Americans, think Tandy or RadioShack; in fact I think he actually used to sell branded stuff from both of those) back in the 60s/70s, but in more recent years, he's branched out into patriotically branded food of various kinds...mostly breakfast related stuff I think.
Dick Smith Electronics is still going, although I'm not sure that the chain is as big as it used to be, and these days they mostly sell more mainstream appliances like laptops, TVs, mice, keyboards and such. Unfortunately he no longer seems to sell things like brass headphone jacks and those related bits and pieces, or the amateur robotics kits either, as apparently they didn't sell very well. The amateur/hobbyist robotics scene doesn't seem to be very large in Australia; Australians seem to find getting drunk and high on methamphetamines, and then going out looking for fights, to be a more enjoyable recreational pastime, than actually trying to engage their minds, or do something constructive.

Its really a point for another thread if people really want to dissect Dick Smith. I bet if that thread ever did occur I would learn little as I know I won't find in a thread of such nature if he has connections to the more interesting scientific aspects of Australia :D
The Robotic's scene here is Nutz if you look over Mil stuff. DOD hold an annual comp for that and you can search it ;)
Like I've said a million times here... I have worked in Prototyping for many years, and like any country there are amazing people here. Which why I have maintained THAT any country could have found Gollum's Gold Ring...Its ONLY an Idea :D
I enjoy watching people ride two wheels of any variety which labels me as a sports mad fan. People are so much more multifaceted than people easily labeling them all as this or that. For example you could meet some bogan who is violent but you may also find out a hot gardening tip or also be shown nicety's in a way that one would never expect. On the flipside you can find people who practice such merry noble efforts only to find out they are Dicks.
