For watering the above setup you could have a reservoir up high and have gravity feed the trays, the access draining off below. A drip line would also work.

here is a little thing I didn't know...

QuoteI bet a lot of you throw out the stump at the end of the lettuce when you are done. Until recently, so did I! Then I came across this really interesting post online about regrowing from the remaining hunk. It is simple:

Save the end from your lettuce and put into a little water (about a half inch). Change out the water every day. The lettuce will grow back incredibly quick too.

The one on the left i cut today. The middle one yesterday and the one on the right, the day before. You can see how much it grows in just two days!!

But don't feel limited to romaine. This technique can also be used with green onions and celery

Onions I knew but I never tried lettuce

In America they call them Lettuce's Romaine !

The best way to harvest them is to plant quite a few and pick the leaves off from the outside so they keep growing !

I am about to harvest my seeds from them Gals soon !

What Vegetables Can Be Grown Upside Down ?

QuoteTomatoes

Tomatoes are one of the best known upside down vegetables. There are hundreds of tutorials online on how to grow these plants upside down and you can even buy kits to help you with this.

While any size tomatoes can be grown upside down, but cherry tomatoes tend to be easier to manage when growing vegetables upside down.

Same here  its still cold today  60's and typhoon like winds but it is great for the garden. Last year we had 100F middle of April and it killed off things. The nursery did replace them and they are taking this year

March came in like a snow leopard here.  I got lucky and missed the 104 car pileup on I 25.  I was through there about five minutes earlier.

Now that Wells Fargo has seen the light and modified our loan, I hope we can actually do some catching up on stuff inside and out.  My daughter found instructions online for making stepping stones.  I think I'll give that a try, and get some overgrown trees trimmed.  One little bit at a time.
