well i think there is evidence that enlil, as sitchin suggests, did at one time have a space port there, right where temple mount is today. and that enlil's people are the habiru, who were the hibru from nibru (enlil's city on the euphrates).
it's hard to separate all this stuff out but according to sitchin's research, the ongoing war of ideas between enlil and enki, with enlil frequently winning on the grounds that he had been given command of the planet, resulted in people attributing godship to enlil almost exclusively.
jesus refers to the prince of the air, as being the ruler of the planet and this guy even tries to offer jesus ownership if he will become his subject instead of his equal, or something like that. remember, he takes him up in a high mountain (sounds like a spaceship) and shows him the whole earth and says something like, surrender to me, and you can have ownership as my subect. and jesus said, no thanks (cause he knew he could own it legitimately if he finished the requirement. why he had to die for it, i have no idea. and why it didn't kick in as soon as he resurrected, i also have no idea.
this time period is called the era of grace, between the ending of the old "live according to the law or you will be killed in various gruesome ways" to the new jerusalem, which sounds like he takes over enlil's power spots like temple mount. this is a bit confusing, however. i haven't spent enough time researching this aspect and i really should.
unfortunately, islam and therefore palestinians are following enlil as well but, they think their version is better than the judaic version and oh boy, are they ever wrong. it's the same exact thing as old testament law, just with different names. i call it, ENLIL REDUX. and the vatican is responsible for that. which is a dang shame.
