A New York City artist is taking utilitarian fashion to a sky-high level.
Adam Harvey, who specializes in "wearable technology," has developed a clothing line that won't make the feds too happy. The Stealth Wear collection features items that cloak the wearer from being spotted by unmanned aircrafts. Behold the anti-drone hoodie:
The garments were created in collaboration with fashion designer Johanna Bloomfield and highlight Harvey's own anti-authoritarian leanings and qualms about the unbridled use of drones.
"It's a very invasive technology," Harvey told The Daily Beast back in March. "I wanted to find something to protect against it."
Harvey is aware of the sheer impracticality of his clothing line, explaining that the clunky, futuristic items are meant less as a functional "counter-surveillance solution" and more as an exploration of the aesthetics of privacy and authority.

They won't work. Reflecting heat does not stop the clothing from radiating heat conducted from the wearers body. I bet they make a packet out of this though. I wish I'd thought of it.
