Just sayin' it's scary that ANY children are being taught that these are the CORRECT answers period.

Sure, based on the "reading assignment," these might be correct.  But the kids are clearly being told that this IS truth - not merely what that one source claims.

I wonder what the Muslim's teach about Dinosaurs :D I never asked or looked yet.

Baptists are the worst  they get really violent when you try to explain Dinos :P

But this is a fine example of why home schooling is a bad idea... :) The kid only learns what the [parent wants them to learn

Clearly home schooling is NOT the issue.  This is from a CLASSROOM of students sent away to the school by the parents.  Whether home schooled or not, the parents have strong sway in what children learn.

And to color fringe parents as the "norm" is rather poor an approach.  *I* would have home schooled My daughter and would have let Her interests guide much of Her learning - with the interweb as one tool.

I would not have limited Her awareness if I could have helped it.  And truly, though fringe groups might be an issue for some children, I'd wager MOST parents would have much the same approach as I would have had.
