Massive tornadoes spawned in Oklahoma and Kansas on Saturday, leaving behind several paths of destruction. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center marked 19 tornado reports in the two states by 8 pm EDT.
The National Weather Service, located in Norman, Oklahoma, was briefly interrupted when a tornado warning hit the area, forcing employees to seek shelter.

The tornadoes started Sunday afternoon as a massive super cell storm traveled east. The first tornado was spotted on the southwest side of Wichita, Kansas. The National Weather Service called it a large "violent and extremely dangerous" tornado.
