Oklahoma Tornado's Climate Change Connection Is 'A Damn Difficult Thing To Predict' (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/21/oklahoma-tornado-climate-change_n_3310413.html?utm_hp_ref=oklahoma-tornado-2013)
Piers Morgan and Bill Nye Speculate on Climate Change's Role in Deadly Okla. Twister | Video | TheBlaze.com (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/05/21/piers-morgan-and-bill-nye-speculate-on-climate-changes-role-in-deadly-okla-twister/)
During CNN's live coverage of the deadly Oklahoma tornado on Monday night, host Piers Morgan and Bill Nye speculated on the possible role of climate change in the disaster.
"As a scientist, when you hear about the size, scale, power, devastation of this tornado, what does it tell you about the ongoing debate about climate change?" Morgan asked his guest.
Nye said climate change has to be considered after a catastrophic weather event like the devastating tornado in Oklahoma. He also claimed 10 of the last 12 years are the "warmest years recorded."
"Thunderstorms are driven by heat and a tornado is a super thunderstorm — result of a super thunderstorm. So you've got to figure that if there's more heat driving the storm then there's going to be more tornadoes. Now this is the kind of thing that is worth investigating," he added.
The Incredible Role Facebook Played in the Aftermath of Devastating Okla. Tornado | TheBlaze.com (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/05/21/the-incredible-role-facebook-played-in-the-aftermath-of-devastating-okla-tornado/)
Nearly 10,000 members have joined a Facebook group established to help Oklahoma tornado victims from both Sunday and Monday's storms find items that might have flow into someone else's yard, which could very well be several city's away.
The group was started by Leslie Hagelberg of West Tulsa, Okla., who got the idea when she found a family photograph near her mailbox.
"I'm just trying to help," Hagelberg told The Huffington Post. "I couldn't imagine losing my kids' pictures."
On the group page, Hagelberg asked that no one post sensitive information like checks, social security numbers, etc.
Family photos, drawings by children, documents, pets and more have been put up on the site. Here are a few photos from the page to give you a small idea of what people are finding and looking for:
