Ya get you VI ;)

This is a long winded way to explain my perspective but here go's;

I have grown up in Australia being mainly an Egalitarian society, that has it's downfall's but, in my lifetime I have seen all tax payer owned asset's sold off to Private Corporation's due to what we were told as bad financial management from our gov.

Why do i say that ?

Last night I read in my state of Victoria that the State Gov here are tending out "Leasing our National Park's"  FOR 99 effing YEARS   (great deal for the Mil if you wanna make a base LOL)

It did strike me that the Gov have lost a load of revenue due to privatization, so they make up any mean's that is sold to them to make up the shortfall, hence the 1% make even more cashola :D

two of the things they do here in texas is they have a microphone in the fishing license machine.they listen in on transactions.if a person states they dont have a license while buying fishing bait and then happens to mention the location they are going fishing.the game warden will show up at that spot.i have seen them do it numerous times.i dont know how they do it legally but they do.never mention what or where you are going in front of a license machine.it cost me a job one time.

the other is a highway camera setup they use to monitor fog on a bridge.it is also a highway for truckers to bypass the weighstation.they use it to monitor truckers.it is solar powered.when they installed it they also installed a weather station and lighted strips down the middle of the road.the lightstrips lasted one year and broke.
i expect the radars will not last long either.guilly suit .hell yea!

Yeah they could do it legally. hey don't need the info gathered to stand up in court  they just need to know where to be to catch ya red handed :D

As they say in the Navy... "Loose lips sink ships" :D

So ummm do a little poaching do ya?

::)

One fellow I know talked to a friend about a business idea for a cool radio show in a restaurant. 2 weeks later someone did that show. Seems they were listening in the next booth

I have sometimes said some odd stuff in restaurants just to see who is listening in LOL  It works  because they suddenly look at ya

They tried to catch speeders here with cameras  but they stopped because all they could prove was the car speed, not who the driver was, so it didn't stand up in court

In my area they don't care who the driver is, they fine the car. The car gets the bill and if not paid, no regestration next year. I see some people paying their car bills for half an hour. I got 2 so far. Ok my car got 2. Nice way to make money. Cameras going up everywhere to make more money.

No chases, no cars hiding behind bill boards, just fancy cameras, everywhere. Funny thing is they are all marked very well with signs saying camera ahead. After awhile the signs seem to fade away and you forget them. Cross a line 200, run a light 200, turn from wrong lane 200, no seat belt 200, on the cell phone 200, smoking 200, no helmet on motercyle driver, riders, 200 each, child in front 200 and they are adding to the list all the time. DWI 1 year jail. Run someone over, Free pass to Disney....

In some places the fines are up to 500 each. Now that is 500 RMB wich is about 74 us dollars. 200 rmb is about 30 dollars. Needless to say the trafic p0L1(e are getting very rich. It is not about making it safer. It is about finding a new way to make money. If you want safer then you take them and re-school them. What do 30 dollar fines do to rich people ??? If you are driving a 300,000 to 600,000 rmb car then what is 200....

i wonder what country manufactures the camera?
i wonder if folks will quit registering their cars?
you can only squeeze a certain amount of juice out of a piece of fruit.then you start tainting the juice if more pressure is applied.
i see it all the time in texas.fake stickers and old tags.no insurance.the poor have to make a living also.otherwise more burden on society.cant have it both ways.
foolish politicians.

And WHY do They CARE about whether You are doing 5 MPH over a speed limit?  Is it because They fear for the safety of the operators on the roadways?

No.

R-E-V-E-N-U-E!

Imagine how it will be when PROFIT motive is removed.....
