After looking through the thread a bit, I'm suprised no one has figured out what it really is. At first I wasn't 100% sure, but after a closer look in paint, well, I have made up my mind and no one can change it!
While highlighting the profile of the subject, a very clear image began to appear:

We can clearly see this is Van Helsing, shortly after killing a demon . He has the demon's body tucked securely under one arm, while still clutching the machete he used to slay the beast with his other arm!
The haze around the demon/vampire is how it looks when it attempts to abandon it's physical form , desperately trying to escape the clutches of Van Helsing .
The haze around Van Helsing is his aura feeding off the demon's eternal damnation , converting it into the strength he will use to capture and destroy future evil entities!!
I always love it when they say "clearly' or 'obviously' and then there are 101 different answers :P
But no one got that it is OBVIOUSLY an Elvin Lord clearly entering a dimensional rift... like the ones that Bigfoot vanishes through... I mean can't you see it? Are you blind?
