Title: Brain-to-Brain Control Established Between Humans and Animals at Harvard
Post by: Amaterasu on August 01, 2013, 10:46:05 PM

QuoteInteresting to note is that once again ultrasound is employed in this method of control. This is exactly what has been discussed within the secret paper at Arizona State University, as well as the method used via neural dust:

...the mouse is equipped with a focused ultrasound (FUS) computer-brain interface (CBI). FUS is a relatively new technology that allows the researchers to excite a very specific region of neurons in the rat's brain using an ultrasound signal. The main advantage of FUS is that, unlike most brain-stimulation techniques, such as DBS, it isn't invasive. (emphasis added).

So, unlike the clumsier methods shown in videos of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, this is the new remote-control upgrade.

Never mind animals, when will they have one that can be fitted to human beings?

All criminal punishments can then be replaced with fixed terms of having to wear the "special hat"...

And we could easily make the new criminal justice sentencing system pay for itself by auctioning time slots at the "sending hat" part of the deal! I always wanted to bring back the stocks for certain offenses, but this could be much more fun!!

Oh yes, this is going into my nascnt political party's manifesto...

Fruitbat. (possibly not delivering the expected reply, today.. :c )

Actually, I would like a complete overhaul of the criminal justice / social engineering system to be done.

Should I assume the mantle of benevolent dictator one day, I wouldn't immediately rule out use of the special headgear where appropriate, although, I'd need to take a bit more time to consider all the alternatives.

( I have realised that unlike ourselves out in the real world, most people want to be led, so my political platform needs to include visible and strong leadership, tempered with a checks and balances system so that the people who actually DO have some sort of social conscience also get a look-in. I of course, just want to have fun, so whilst I'd like the title, the parades, and big hat etc, I don't want to have to actually do much else, so the system of government that I lead has to be largely autonomous and make everyone happy, so as they accept my glorious leadship without question. That's proving quite difficult, and in fact has proven to be a major impediment to my rise to power so far.

On the other hand, standing about waving at the crowds, isn't too taxing, and an old person can do it OK, so I guess I can take a bit longer to form policy..

Got to get it RIGHT this time! :c)

Somehow I don't equate equipping a mouse with a Focused Ultrasound Device as Non-Ivasive.

Quoterelatively new technology that allows the researchers to excite a very specific region of neurons in the rat's brain using an ultrasound signal.

Oddly that would be Invasive Technology

I imagine a planet where there is little motivation to break a Law, and where all concerns "commercial" are from the heart and in social currency.

I could go on, but I won't.  [smile]
