The Yosemite Sam signal is an AM broadcast which has been happening like clockwork since February 2005. It was first reported on December 19, 2004, but went off the air 5 days later and did not start back up until the following February). It is a recording of Yosemite Sam saying: "Varmint, I'm a-gonna b-b-b-bloooow yah t'smithereens!"
The transmission is sent from somewhere in the southwestern desert of the United States, and begins at exactly seven seconds after the top of the hour. It is repeated on 4 different frequencies in ascending order, and exactly 10 seconds pass before the transmission is repeated on the next frequency. The processes is then repeated twice, and therefore takes 2 minutes to complete.
Here are the frequencies:
3700 kHz
4300 kHz
6500 kHz
10500 kHz
The sound clip was apparently taken from the 1949 cartoon Bunker Hill Bunny, and is preceded in the transmission by an 800 millisecond "data burst."
It is believed that the broadcasting station is somewhere near Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is interesting because in many episodes of Merry Melodies Bugs Bunny would become lost and repeat the phrase: "I knew I should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque."

In 2005 a couple of Hams triangulated the signal to a Military Telecommunications research and development center,  The "MATIC Center"...

Quote from website:
"The use of 3700kHz was not a wise choice, since it is in the middle of the Amateur Radio 80 metre band, and its use had attracted the attention of two licenced hams living in New Mexico, Mike Stark (WA5OIP) and Mike Langner (K5MGR).

The signals were particularly strong in New Mexico and on Wednesday 16 February 2005, and armed with a Potomac Field Intensity Meter, shielded loop antenna and a mobile rig the two hams set out West to track the signals.

At about 2.30pm local time the two Hams arrived at the Laguna Indian Reservation and approached a compound containing buildings, towers and antennas and were able to confirm that they had found the source of the transmissions, The MATIC Center.

Part of Laguna Industries Inc., a Native American business, The MATIC Center was a military contract facility developing mobile communications battlefield systems for the US Army. MATIC stands for Mobility Assessment Test & Integration.

The Hams approach had not gone unnoticed, and as they took photographs of the buildings and antennas a man approached them yelling and ordering them to stop taking pictures. They beat a hasty retreat and headed home"
