22 Tons of Fake Beef Seized in China

This week, police in Xi'an province reported that they had found and seized more than 22 tons of fake beef at a local factory. Get this: the "beef" was actually made from pork (which is considerable cheaper than beef) that had been treated with chemicals including paraffin wax and industrial salts to make it look like it came from a cow. Shanghiist reports that the factory sold more than 1,500 kilos (3,000 pounds) of the fake beef to local markets at around 25 to 33 yuan ($4 or $5) per kilo. Six workshops that were producing the fake beef have been discovered and shut down.
This isn't the first instance of fake meat being sold in China. In May of this year, Medical Daily reported that 904 people were arrested in China for "meat-related offenses" over three months at the beginning of 2013. Included in these arrests was one gang of meat crooks who made over 10 million yuan ($1.6 million) by selling rat, fox, and mink meat at markets. This makes us wonder what impostor foods we might be eating, which in turn makes us very, very uncomfortable.

I recall an old Shanghainese fella I used to work with telling me how Dog Meat was sometimes passed off as Lamb Meat as the taste is similiar.
More bucks in Lamb and Beef than Dog or Pork ::)
And where would motive be to do this without profit motive...?
I was told one time, that it "Matters more what comes out of your mouth, than what goes in." I sure hope to hell that 's true! I have no idea what I am eating any more, unless I grow it myself. :o

Killed by global warming I am certain!! ...............On the other hand, no beef might be a result of alien abduction!! ................But then again, all of the China beef could have been captured by sinkholes that migrated to the other side of the world.........................More likely, the cattle's practice of eating the GMO grain in crop circles caused them to become drunken, confused, sick to their stomachs, and just plopped down and died!!

Rather non-sequitur, there, z. What's that got to do with profit motive?
Profit is what it is! Without "profit" NOBODY EATS in this country! And that includes the 20% of All American households, who are on food stamps, RIGHT NOW! No profit, no business, and no pay for workers. No pay for workers, no taxes paid to government. No taxes paid in, no tax money for funding food stamps. No food stamps, everybody on food stamps must find somebody who is making a profit, to hire them for pay, for REAL WORK, so they can eat. In small business, where most people work, it is the profit that results from the workers work, that is necessary so the business owner can have money to buy food for himself.
Thus TAP = "TAKES A Profit" for everyone to eat. And that means u & me 2! :((

A steakhouse in Amsterdam was/is famous for there perfect beef which turned out to be horsemeat afterall...
They revealed this only after years 8)
Fun part is, it didnt cost them any customers! besides that, horsemeat was very populair after this message.

These things certainly do indicate where the futures headed.
I watched the movie Cloud Atlas the other week (highly recommended) - within the movie it depicted Japan a fair few hundred years in the future, with two classes of people, cloned workers, and 'consumers'.
By the end of the movie one of the clones breaks free from her mental bondage to be shown by heroic freedom fighter, that after the clones purpose is served... They are then processed and....... Fed to them selves ::)
(By the way, that was just one of many story lines - so I haven't ruined the whole movie :P )

I have no idea what You're on about here, rdunk. TAP = no profit involved except in social currencies - where work We need done is done either by Those who WANT to do the work or by robots if there is no Human who WANTS to do it.
Then everything is FREE. All the basics are free, materials, products and services are free provided by the robots or Those who LOVE to provide. Those who LOVE to provide will not need "payment," since They can live richly either way, but since They LOVE to do it, They will do it just for the satisfaction it brings.
And again, ANY money system WILL promote the psychopaths to the top of the heap. If You don't think there's any evidence that that is so in Our present society, consider Bill Gates and His "vaccinations" that are killing and sterilizing with NO consent. Consider Agenda 21, Codex Alimentarius, "geoengineering," GMO's, fluoride, aspartame...
