Yeah it's been a windy one Robo! A few trees down on the country roads where I am and the odd power outage, crazy tidal surges at the coast that's flooded the odd place here and there.
Falling roof tiles/masonry are a danger so it's best to stay indoors if you don't have to go out.
A lot of the Big articulated wagons are parked up too.
Not heard of any major incidents but then I don't watch the news.
Thanks for asking Pal :)
Doesnt elvis and sinny live there?
Yes mate they do.
Ah, My heart tries to hold Them safe.
Thanx for the kind thoughts guys. Yea the wind got up yesterday and I've never seen a tide like it. There is a village near me called warkworth which has a very old bridge which had to be closed cos the the water came over it! Nobody has ever heard of that happening before. It seems to be returning to normality now.

Elvis.
Elvis checking in. [hugs] Sinny?
I'm in the Midlands, so not expecting flooding.
I did nearly get blown into the traffic yesterday tho ...ehhh....SPLAT! aha... :D
I want to to get really horrible, I could do with the time off work... The South and the Coasts make me laugh, same problems every year, and yet they haven't worked on any preventative solutions.
The country will come to a stand still when the snow comes too, like we weren't expecting it. :P

I heard the wind lifting up the tiles.
So yet more work to do when the weather calms down ::)

I saw something like that on Euronews, people on their bicycles being pushed by the wind.
Stay safe, everybody. :)

If it was Sunny every day like Nevada then we wouldn't have much to say. I like it green and beautiful but I wish the sky would not be so fecking grey most of the time

I decided to go on a 15km cycle ride. I knew it was windy and thought it would be a challenge. Well it was more of a challenge than I expected. The drivers gave me a look that said, "Are you crazy?" It was my own fault. ;D

A bit like here in Victoria (OZ).
If you don't like the weather, wait 10 mins and it will change ;D
My favorite kind of weather is a loud thunder storm with lotsa lightening...
Suns great for a wee bit, but having my Celtic genes I can't hack it for longer than an hour or two..
The sort of weather I hate is what we got now, cold and windy, boring grey sky, not a storm in sight :(
Well, the weather here in the Great White North is currently -15(f) (-26(c)) with windchills exceeding -40f. I don't know which I'd rather. Bone chilling freeze or a solid thunderstorm.
Weve had it all this morn.rain sleet snow hail thunder lightning.and freeze.no - 40 though.ne texas
I'll take my -40 winters and you can keep your 115 summers. Deal?
Good to know all you folke who didn't jailbreak are doing ok... I jest ofc ;) :D
Whats kinda odd is how we had snowfall here in Summer on what I call our little mound's rubble here in Vic Oz on about the same same day. Basically we had a an over 30 degree day, and then BAM into snowfall in some area's where snow is expected during winter. I got wet riding (cycling) home twice this week in the nightime in summertime which beats my wet as a shag winter riding.
Anyway hope all you folk and family survive ok and are not too put out of place with the bloody weather!
Ya a bloody resilient bunch so I hold good hope :)
Definitely relieved. Thanks for checking in, Pim, Elvis and Sinny. [smile]
Thanks for the good wishes guys. :)
Isn't this why the Scots invented haggis? Lay in a few bellies, top off the wood pile, and batten down the hatches.
Now you guys know what it's like to live in America. :P
I'm bracing myself now for a big freeze in the near future.
