I don't know if you folks have seen these before, but I wanted to see if anybody sees a similar effect in both of these devices. The general physics explanation of the Faraday/homopolor motor is the "right hand rule". Is there something else at work instead?

Are there applications for the magnetic vortex do you think? Energy generation?
Cosmo
If it would generate enough torque it could possibly drive an electric motor/generator (Could be used as some sort of coupler), a weapon, propulsion system, filtration system. Thats just a few potential applications.
Maybe Ellirium. That might work. The motor is the converse of the Faraday generator(below). This is an interesting device. What physics is at work here?

These are all related, but if the magnet in water vortex video is considered, maybe it is not the "right hand rule" at all?
What is really happening?
Just things I have been pondering...
Cosmo
I was intrigued by the magnetic vortex generated by the Rodin Coil and some of it's astounding potential If a much larger version of one could be built and much higher voltage used I am sure some interesting things could happen.
