Currently, there is an effort to build a veto proof majority to give carte blanche to Israel starting war with Iran and sabotaging peace talks.
Note how the Senate does this with eagerness while dragging their feet on extending unemployment benefits for jobless americans.
I tend to think that such a war would shatter the US, politically and economically. Getting the US populace to accept it would probably require an event that would dwarf Pearl Harbor. I suspect that comes next.
Note also how this decisive moment is largely kept away from most headlines. What does this tell us?
I have toyed with the idea that altruistic aliens may be quietly bending human history. However, I am also tempted with the thought that they given up.
